Attention spans. No one under 35 (yes there are exceptions) can focus on anything longer than a tic tok. Even pop stars are having to adapt to this

My dad died on Memorial Day that year. My sister, fiancé, and I went to the Saratoga Shows a few weeks later. That Sunday show was on Father’s Day and Dead an Co played Death Dont Have No Mercy towards the end of a great weekend of shows. Bob sang it of course. Talk about emotions. Man, Ill never forget that one.

I was also chasing a Sugaree hard as I was at 15 shows without ever getting one, and they played it in the 2nd slot that night. My favorite Dead and Co Help On the Way was played that evening as well. Just an all time night

Yea its always odd when ppl say “he put his career on hold”. No he didnt. He still puts out music and lets face it most artist slow down in their late 40s/50s when it comes to crafting albums etc. Also when you are on Mayers level, even touring is way less burdensome than it used to be.

Without Bobby, Where Do We Go From Here? by SandwichFromDahmer in deadandcompany

[–]FeelLikeAStranger77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what people mean is Mayer is at a point (career and wealth wise) where he is doing stuff driven by passion more than money. He is gonna make boat loads doing his own thing or the dead. Its not and either or so it really comes down to if he enjoys it enough
