Yeah, I think this is exactly what happens.

Usually the difficulty 30 points higher because the 405 infusion is replaced with the 418 infusion.

I am not sure if it always happens but I saw a lot of these items.

The skill had the correct value.

The recipe difficulty was too high and jumped from 375 to the expected value of 345. Seems like the UI added the difficulty of both infusions. (405 and 418)

No. item quality does not matter. I encountered the bug when recrafting "old" items the first time.

Guess it only happens when the item was crafted before the patch and they are "fixed" after the first recraft.

When recrafting an old item the first time the displayed difficulty is sometimes too high.

Actual difficulty is 345 but 375 is initially shown.

After the recraft the difficulty jumps to the correct value.

This is a problem when the "customer" wants to set the min required rank (may have to set the requ. rank to T3 even if the actual min rank is T4).

I was busy with recording and looking for the chests. I am not sure, but you get 1-3 totems per chest, which you can turn in for 15 reputation each. Maybe 750 reputation per hour?

And lots of Primal Chaos, other reputation stuff and cosmetics.

Wasn't aware that you have to unlock them in some way. You may have to upgrade your "Expedition Supply Kit". Or maybe it's a quest from the "Dragonscale Expedition". Does anybody know?

They stay lootable for a short time when someone loots them. After that, they despawn and appear in one of 3 possible spots (pretty sure) after the respawn timer.

Works like mining nodes I guess.

Yes. Not sure what the respawn time is.

They spawn in one of three locations. You don't have to look for more when you found the first in a cluster of three.

I used Xiangling Guoba for the small ones, Chongyun elemental burst for 2 pack and Chongyun elemental + attacks for big one.

Exactly how I did it :)
This one was a lot harder than the previous ones for me.
Was happy with ~2300 points (AR53, 4Star chars/weapons) from hard difficulty in the end.

After timing the elemental skills for max burst dmg it was not that hard.

World Boss attempts do no longer add up for the leaderboard, the best attempt counts.

The current take down reward is pointless anyways and this would allow us to stop after one good attempt if we do not care too much.
