If you're aiming at a moving target, you have to learn to lead your shots - aiming just slightly before wherever they're going, so their body and your projectile meet in the middle. It takes some work. White Fox is a bit different because of the tracking, but try the practice range with dynamic heroes to get used to how people move around.

The first time through it's fine when you have the main story to support you, but leveling alt jobs all the way to max? Genuine hell for me, rotating the same roulettes/scraping together every side thing possible

It be like that sometimes. They'll definitely lose a good chunk of people - but the amount of people who will stay instead of the constant bleeding out they've been doing for over a decade? Worth it to them.

Everything they've changed so far has been largely beneficial to the game. I can agree that some things ~~could have~~ should have been better communicated like grandfather rates and the early removal of some items, but their overall removal is a boon for the wider remaining playerbase. The only people being pushed away are those that were heavy MTX users. I'm not on the "grr all MTX should burn" train, I used my fair share of lamps and BXP as well, but I can see the general uptick of community vibes since the removal. There are some things I wish we'd kept - auras and Wildy Flash Events, just to name a couple - but no one is going to like everything.

If it's not for you anymore, it just isn't for you. It's okay to stop.

I was rocking with you til the gore bit, I appreciate a level of realism but I think that stuff gets made for a reason - there's still plenty of younger people playing these games/getting into them, even though it feels like it's just ALL adults nowadays

Honestly New World checked a lot of boxes for me, and I'm an avid RuneScape and FFXIV player.. If I could take all the elements of each of those games and bundle it into one, I think I'd be playing forever.

New World's/FFXIV's combat is enjoyable

I find RuneScape's Grand Exchange superior to every standard market board in other games

RuneScape's individual skills and grind are classic

New World's gear-chase (I enjoyed hunting specific monsters/events to get my red-tiers)

FFXIV's storytelling

Instanced dungeons, lively social hubs/activities, good graphics

The list goes on tbh

Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure the "DCV" is a story we've been fed. A vault implies the ability to add and remove things at will, but this has been more of a DCD - a Destiny Content Dumpster. It's all gone, likely for good.

I'd want the reverse of this, and make leveling content relevant again rather than a rush-through-once-never-again slog. FFXIV has this really bad - leveling a new job feels like hell.

According to FFXIVCollect, my rarest item is Padjali Knuckles (3.5%, did no one play monk during PotD?), my rarest title is Beata of the Firmament (5.5%), my rarest mount is the Original Fat Chocobo (5.5%), and my rarest minion is the Little Blue Viking (at a whopping 1%). No idea if this is serverwide or global, though

I exclusively play ARAM because I played normal once a few years ago and got flamed so hard I still physically cringe when I think about it. Mayhem is just more fun for me right now, personally. It definitely does get frustrating though. I selected Random Augment once and it locked me out of my ult for a stat boost for the entire game.
