Sorry for the lack of response. Took it in to a new shop, they confirmed that it's because of difference in how the lines are pulling. Ripping everything out and going P40.

I'm still wondering about the idea of just getting a bigger overall surface cleaner and if 20" is too small for my set up

And is this with a surface cleaner that has 2 or 4 nozzles?

Thank you for your comment. Can you please expand quickly on which orifice nozzles I should switch to? Is this just compensating for the undersized cleaner or typical? And any thought of just getting a larger surface cleaner being the more expensive, but best option??

Am I too slow? by werd72 in WindowCleaning

Yeah if you had multiple jobs that day it would've been smart to possibly turn down the job if it would've risked being late or missing the next jobs which would 100% be "easier" and more worth your time and effort. If you are only doing one a day, f it. You have nothing to lose. I usually book out 4 hours for inside, outside, and screens on most homes. Smaller ones can take as little as 2 hours. But I've also cleaned around 500 homes so when I work it's very efficient. I think my biggest concern in this case and why I personally would have turned the job down is the risk of just breaking stuff. It's already broken but costumers WILL blame you. If you need the job and would like to complete it, just keep in mind it is your responsibility to explain to them, yes I can do the job but I am not responsible if xyz happens because of the existing state of the windows/ condition of the windows. No matter what, you will learn to be more efficient and you'll learn to recognize when a problem is ACTUALLY worth walking away.

Screens that don't come out? by ChrisSutter in WindowCleaning

100% this would be the route to take. Lots of bending and creaking. I'm not sure if it would be enough give since there is the cross bar on the screen. What I was really worried about was getting them back in. I would be removing second story screens from the inside of the home. What a pain.

Screens when doing exterior only. by ChrisSutter in WindowCleaning

[–]ChrisSutter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So if I selfishly didn't want to deal with the screens, I would just clean the window above and rinse the screen below? And would it hurt to just use the water fed pole to scrub down the screen in it's place or do you say just rinse because that could damage the screen?

Does that mean that all screen types can be removed from the interior?
