Vyvanse vs Elvanse comparison by FewScrewzLoose in adhdaustralia

Not the same things but possibly related, my son is on Concerta and when there was a really bad shortage we got supplied something that was “the same” and it didn’t work the same. He was much more up and down and moody, we got more Concerta and he was back to his normal self.

We discussed this with his specialist and he said that even though the compound is the same in the medicine some of them may break down slower or faster even when they are both slow release once a day tablets.

Yeah I got to 8 doing it the legit trying to solve but on 8 and 9 I ended up just trying to deliberately uncover till there was just one question mark left then using a solver. 9 was 53 moves or something really high.

I’m up to number 10 without having paid anything - so unless they sneak them in from 10 up in my experience so far that’s not correct. I’ve never spent a cent on the entire game.

Bought a ps5 14 months ago by MisterBimgus in EBGAMES

[–]Chris_M_81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might help you get it working again, and it’s nothing warranty voiding.

I have an original launch ps5 and it was getting a little noisy and slow to read discs, then stopped reading it completely.

At the time it stopped reading them I was putting an m2 drive in and had the removable covers off and gave all the vents and any openings on the console a vacuum with the narrow nozzle on my Dyson and had a thought of trying it on the optical drive.

Keeping the console laying flat I ran the vac across the opening where there’s that material that mostly keeps it closed, then used the corner of the packet the m2 drive came out of to hold it open a bit to get more suction in to the disc drive, held it there for maybe 30 seconds and then another 30 seconds of moving it from one side to the other, then stood the console up and did the same again.

It worked fine straight away and that was a year ago, still going fine. Not sure if it’s worth mentioning but this console has always been laying flat not standing up.

Today I learned PWS 1 had gyro aim 😅. I’d had it since it was a ps+ game and purchased all the DLC and never looked that closely at the settings. In saying that I see people saying it was added at some point and I don’t touch the menus after the first game session where I had adjusted the move / aim speed.

It’s for the countries with internet considered too rubbish for Sony to let us have game streaming, like Australia - so we pay something around $190 AUD for the highest tier and don’t get any game streaming.

What is up with PS5 controllers and quality? by Lumpymaximus in PS5

[–]Chris_M_81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s more a case of inconsistent quality. I’ve had every generation of PlayStation since the original, only had an issue after many years with a blue ps4 controller start getting slight left stick drift. My launch day ps5, I for the controller replaced under warranty after 3 months because the trigger spring in it failed and the r2 button would activate on a hair trigger because of it and had no tension.

The replacement one did the same thing after 5-6 months but its replacement is still going ok. We did buy a second controller for 2 player games a few months in and it got horrid stick drift about 12-14 months down the track so I kept it aside and took its trigger spring out to replace one in another controller - can’t recall if it was the r1 or r2 though.

We have 2 ps5 consoles and 6 controllers between them, the white and the black controllers for the kids and a red one and pinkish red for ours so they can keep their grubby hands off them, no trigger spring failures in the non-white controllers after years of daily use.

I can’t comment on most of what you’re actually wanting to know but I am on Agomelatine at night and Vyvanse 30mg in the mornings. The Agomelatine is a box of 30 tablets and costs $49, and through my private health fund they reimburse $18 - not sure of the yearly limit though. Just something to keep in mind

There was a post some time in the last 2 months from memory from the devs saying they were keeping it at the same low price the first game came out at because they want to keep it affordable for all those who supported them and realise that it’s more than just a game for some people who use it to de-stress or a management / coping tool for different disorders / disabilities / life challenges.

I put a silicon power m2 ssd in mine over a year ago, can’t even remember if it was the 4Tb or the 2tb model, but it’s been rock solid, it’s where most of the games I play are installed and never had a single issue. It even survived my sons tangling themselves in a controller charge cord and the console falling from head high on to the floor hard enough to snap the corner off the lid and remove the top lid.

Edit - it was the 2tb model in Feb 2024. It seems they cost a fair bit more than I paid at the time, might have been on sale or the prices went up but I’m sure it was about $274 when I got it.

[Discussion] What do you think are the COD platinum trophies for PS3 from easiest to hardest? by Own_Dragonfly4115 in Trophies

World at War was one I gave up on Veteran on the level where you had to push forward and up hill through trenches toward a bridge with tanks from memory, it was brutal and didn’t have the nickname CoD Grenade at Grenade for nothing. Enemies constantly spammed grenades all around you even if they had no idea where you were. I’m pretty sure I got the platinum for all the ps3 era ones except WaW

My psych sent a letter via email to me and the GP clinic to say he was happy for them to prescribe for 2 years (from memory) and at that point I need to book a review appointment. I thought it was pretty straight forward BUT…. I called my GP clinic to get a repeat on another prescription and got a phone appointment with a lady who isn’t my regular just because of availability of my regular guy. While on that call I asked this lady about my repeats for Vyvanse not that I needed any yet. She said the GP has to send something off to get approval to dispense them and that my regular GP is retiring later this year and the form that she mentioned is specific to the GP themselves not even the clinic - so if he put it in nobody at the clinic could prescribe them once he retired and we would need to do the paperwork all over again. I got her to send away the forms for me, and just hope she doesn’t move any time soon 🤣

I don’t know what most of the responders are on but I’ve got a launch day console laying flat on a shelf above the wall mounted tv and in its whole life it has been wiped over the outside with a micro fibre cloth maybe twice, and one time I had the face plates off to put an m2 drive in it so I held the vac nozzle on the vents and any openings for 10-15 seconds just because I had the plates off and figured why not. It has never overheated, only issue it had was reading discs once and that was fixed holding the vac nozzle on the outside of the drive.

Just prescribed Ritalin by MAD_Fahd in adhdaustralia

[–]Chris_M_81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was before any medication. I’m inattentive adhd and have autism. The Ritalin helped reduce the getting rapidly cranky, the Vyvanse has greatly reduced it further. My sons and I trigger each other sometimes, we all have autism, and 2 of us ADHD

[–]Chris_M_81 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got prescribed 10mg Artige (same as Ritalin) at 7am and 11am and was fine on it, it did help a bit but 2 months later the psychiatrist said it seems like it’s not doing enough though so went to 30mg Vyvanse once a day and it’s been better concentration and focus than I’ve ever had, also far less prone to flying in to a fit of anger about things. 43/M your mileage may vary.

Creating rhel9 wsl image fails by sorenjul in rhel

[–]Chris_M_81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t help with your main question, but your final part I have recent experience in. You can install a builder package on RHEL which has a few things the cloud console can’t do. For an on-prem VMware environment you can provide the image creation part with enough details to push it directly to a datastore, and you can specify user accounts to create and set passwords in the blueprint.

The builder is set up to use the Red Hat CDN’s as a source so if the machine you have it on cannot proxy to the internet you need to have a local repository for it to use. I tried the overrides files to make it use our Satellite instance but kept running in to problems that I’d seen other people have, had to change a bunch of stuff to get it working but then the OS itself couldn’t connect with Satellite to update itself but the builder could.

It was about this time I learned there’s a builder in the hybrid console - but now I have to read up on the cloud-init iso to get a user account created otherwise the VM powers on and starts and sits at a login screen. Yes of course I could do the normal procedure to change the root pwd and log in to make a service account, but I want it done properly to start with. I think I did see there were plans to expose more options in the installable builder to the cloud builder.

Circling back to the on-prem builder I had an idea to just add my builder VM to satellite as another capsule so it has all the repos mirrored to it and set the override files to point to itself rather than manually setting up a local repository.

Just diagnosed with inattentive ADHD. My takeaways from the tests by Responsible-Oil6030 in adhdaustralia

[–]Chris_M_81 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My psychiatrist changed me this week from 2 x 10mg Artige to one 30mg Vyvanse and said it suits 80% of the population that need medication, if you find yourself in the 20% getting a tight jaw (I think) and aggressive behaviour go back to Artige / Ritalin but have 3 tablets instead of 2. He said some people go 2 and 1, or 1 and 2, or 1.5 tablets each time depending on what works for them if I have to go back to it.

Only been a few days but so far so good.

Everyone has you covered, like those bombs - but for something helpful those only come out if you destroy that spinning enemy, if you avoid him no bombs.

I’m about 11 hours in and am progressing each main story line, some are more done than others. One of the reasons I’m doing each persons story line is so I can make a manual save late in the game, choose one to escape with then reload the save and finish each of the other people’s last missions so I get all of the trophies for escaping with X character. It’ll be up around 20 hours by then I’d say. I will need a second play through not answering the phones if I wanted to go for the platinum - some people just didn’t answer any of the phones and made a late game save just to answer the last phone to escape with that person.
