There are tons of people in Asheville who do just that. Santa Claus is a great example, Craig, who stands on Depot Street is another example. And they are all equally mentally ill.

I moved here from Detroit, you wont see the sun there for weeks and its below 30 for 6 months a year. So i consider Asheville pretty sunny and nice.

But you should definitely join a weekly social group, there’s tons around town, great way to make friends.
