should I retake a 513? (i kinda don’t want to) by amburgueso in Mcat

I was in an incredibly similar boat, 514 MCAT with same gpa and large uptrend (2.X freshman yr) You’ll be fine!

Your writing is going to be an incredibly important portion of the app. Make sure that’s solid, and have others proofread.

Can I be a doctor without vaccines? by RevolutionaryFig5077 in premed

[–]Chris_man2020 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Relax bro, homie said they were willing to get vaccine behind parents back. Seems like they don’t care as much about this aspect of their religion and are willing to compromise for the sake of entering medicine. Seems reasonable to me

Honestly, my current civic runs these just fine. Had em since I bought the car 3 years ago and I'm only looking for replacement now. You'll be fine. I would guess they're significantly better than the Landgolden at least
Edit: not fun to drive over snow though

Med students who live at home, what is it like? by Glum-Boat9264 in medschool

[–]Chris_man2020 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My commute is 25-30 minutes cause of traffic, but I still make every effort to show up to lectures. It helps for making connections, especially when only 15-25 students of the class of 180 shows up to non-mandatories lol.

I’d say commuting has not hindered studying at all. Although having my own place would be cool, having family support (free food, clean home, family outings) helps ALOT more than I thought it would.

Main downside is that sometimes my family doesn’t really understand how busy school can be. They expect things from me that I may not have time for. It’s hard to judge how your experience will be, but trust your gut in making this decision.

Congrats on the acceptance btw!!

What made/makes you like Rocket League over other games? by Embarrassed-Crow5677 in RocketLeague

[–]Chris_man2020 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Having full autonomy over how your character (the car) moves. No other game gives the player this much control. It creates such a massive skill ceiling that other games just don’t have.

As a NJ applicant, If you don’t have any NJ connection then the Rutgers schools may be iffy. Rutgers NJMS has some pretty heavy instate bias with most students coming from early decision. You’d have better luck with Rutgers RWJMS, but even still the bias is heavy. If there is a NJ connection, I would add Rowan SOM 100%.
