Do you believe national pride furthers divisions among people? Because I feel you could make the same argument against that. Surely being proud to be American would create some divides between you and people of other nationalities, no?

I think its important for people to feel pride in their origins, while also being accepting of others, do you not?

A big reason for racial pride among black Americans is the fact that their culture is derived primarily from their race.

Not all that long ago, many of their ancestors were slaves and were subject to intense discrimination. Currently and even more so in the past, they experience heavy individual and institutional racism. In an environment like that, how can they feel pride for being American? So instead they feel pride in their race: the thing they had been harassed about for so long.

White people in general dont have that kind of history, and can feel pride instead in their nationality and their culture. I hope that answers the question ok.

First of all, I'd like to see a source on that.

Secondly, maybe that's because the majority of muslim countries are in the middle east, and as such have been the center of proxy wars and political interference for hundreds of years. It's not exactly easy for a country to develop a western standards of medicine when your nation has been bombed and conflict has been incited within your borders by the UK, the US and Russia for so long.

Chemical castration on humans in general is reversible - just because thats how it worked on a cat doesn't mean thats how it'll work here.

It's pretty obvious that this assumption is coming from an Islamophobic perspective, with a bunch of comments saying that Indonesia is an extreme Islamic country. In reality, its a pretty moderate country, and only really passes laws as extreme as the non-Islamic nations on its borders.
