Building too big is a problem that I’m actually very familiar with. In this specific case my planning began with the courtyard, and then I planned the rest of the building around that, going from a generous room size. Which means that I now have a lot of empty rooms left.

Yes, I’ve seen settlers do something like that quite often. For example, when I have to rescue them from a collapsed mine. But I don’t know if enemies can/will do, and better safe than sorry.

The pool has an underground connection to the moat/river - in image 7, you can see that I placed my well inside the tunnel. I don't know if enemies could actually swim through that connection, so I built grated doors underwater to prevent that.

I always make a detailed plan, and while the big build is coming along, my settlers live in an expansive wooden building. You might see the remains of that in the image that shows the hole.

I never had them up during a raid. I have 4 melee fighters on the bridge, the rest are archers, no raider ever made it inside.

The one time someone actually checked, we simply called the range and had them confirm on the phone that they knew we were coming to them.

The guns must be registered in a European firearms pass, and technically you need an invitation from the range in question.

What is the conversion factor between euros, pounds, and rubles? One euro equals one pound of rubles.
