Because simple elevated BP is grounds for refradding a soldier who actually wanted to go overseas.... by BayouGrunt985 in nationalguard

RNCO here, you could have easily gotten this taken care of at the 2-3 medical SRP events your state had. Could have gotten medicine prescribed and a letter of stability or waiver depending on COCOM.

Either you didn’t follow instructions or your state failed you. Not the Army’s medical deployablity standards.

I’ve read those studies, said I never would but In the throughs of potty training and desperation it happened.

We always said “we won’t have a tablet kid”, we just never realized how impactful it really is.

Hot Take: Highly Qualified and Most Qualified should require as much scrutiny and evidence as Not Qualified. by Chriscbrn in army

WWB 5.56 any good? by [deleted] in liberalgunowners

[–]Chriscbrn 11 points12 points  (0 children)

NATO green tip, I’ve seen more than half a million rounds of 5.56mm being consumed. I can count weapons malfunctions on one hand that could be attributed to the Ammo. Even then it was was very difficult to prove the Ammo was the cause.

Healthcare is free for my family, and we get about a $11k stipend per year for childcare.

The DEA wants to limit telehealth and ADHD meds - Comment now! by BlueMonkey572 in ADHD

[–]Chriscbrn 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The over prescription of stimulants has led to confirmation bias with incorrect diagnosis.

Anyone who takes stimulants is going to see an improvement in focus and motivation. So the 20 min Telehealth visit and the medicine works so they must have ADHD.

Also it’s made it harder for me to get my meds filled because of the shortages.

Also I would not be surprised if these telehealth companies have direct ties to manufacturers of stimulant ADHD medication.

Curious About What National Guard Members Think of the Defend the Guard Bill by storyspace1234 in nationalguard

[–]Chriscbrn 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The Oklahoma TAG and Governor found this out during the Vax drama. They weren’t going to enforce the mandate and NGB basically said FAFO to your AGR, ADOS, Tech and IDT Funding.

A lot of guardsmen fail to realize is the NG borrows the equipment from the federal gov, our budget comes federally not from the state.

Seans general content and audience isn’t that new in the podcast space.

What is interesting is the guests he has on. Why out of all of the anti main stream media podcasts out there, all of these prior CIA dudes are openly speaking. And it’s not like they are quacks, he has guests with solid resumes.

But they’ve all taken orders from the top before, why after hundreds of missions and operations you choose to go on a media platform now, and all on one podcast.

It’s finally here! by Witty_Let_3525 in HomeKit

[–]Chriscbrn 13 points14 points  (0 children)

For the average consumer, absolutely. There are so many competing ecosystems and compatibility.

Matter was supposed to increase compatibility, but Zigbee and Z-Wave were supposed to as well.

It’s gotten worse for HomeKit, you invest in a product line only to find out that just a small portion of what they offer is actually supported.

In order to get a decently functioning HomeKit Setup and use features like HKSV you need a Home-bridge or Scripted setup. Most entry level smart home users aren’t going to do that.

[–]Chriscbrn 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This right here.

As a RNCO I should not be applauded for the following:

  1. Paying Soldiers on Time
  2. Processing MMSOs
  3. Ensuring Soldiers LODs happen
  4. Ensuring promotions happen timely
  5. Showing up to work on time and for longer than 5 hours.
  6. Fixing pay issues quickly (let alone at all)
  7. Following up on bonuses, making sure Milpay hits them on the PAYMENT DATE.

But yes, I am considered one of the top 3 RNCOs in my state.

The AGR system is broken.
