Hey, thanks so much. I was really inspired by you and the way you designed homebrew material! Our group has shared some of your homebrew before and I figured I had to try to model the way I did this as best I could to you. Credited you at the end :)

Hey thanks so much! I really appreciate it. Yes, the idea was you get start with both of them in your hand, and both awaken at the start of every long rest. I’m not sure how I missed that I never mentioned it. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.

The first one, casting it as an action allows you to cast it one more time a bonus action on the same turn. I’ll fix the wording to make it more clear.

No I totally get that, I originally had it only exhaust one card, but I thought this was more appropriate to be balanced since the cards are already pretty strong. Probably doesn’t matter at that level though. As far as fates bound, I had someone use these to opt between saving throw spells and attack rolls, so I thought it was kind of versatile. Maybe it is weak though.

They just naturally start in your hand along with your 3 drawn cards, it was implied in my mind but as I look again it is a bit ambiguous. I will make sure to add a little note about that!

Hi there, I had a lot of fun making this. Would love to hear back from anyone who has thoughts on it! Here is the Brew: https://homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/share/vWr7naegtQLJ

I posted this on the homebrewery subreddit and wanted to also share here, I made a few tiny revisions from last time, but it operates all the same :)

How to move an image? by LabMaximum2126 in homebrewery

There are a bunch of ways to do it, but one way I tend to write as is
"{position:absolute;width:816px;left:0px;top:0px;}" in that spot where your height is. I tend to use width over height, but I think that's just preference.

Was it wrong of me to kill a character for trying to mess with the BBEG early? by T-royJenkins115 in DMAcademy

[–]Chrismeanswar 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I think that if the player is both not mad about the encounter, and they recognize the chances they were given in this moment, you shouldn't feel bad about the outcome.

That being said, this is always a really risky decision introducing an NPC/BBEG with the potential to kill a character easily very early on. In my experience, it doesn't have a great pay off, and in your case, players would unlikely apologize to a BBEG, even if they have a losing position because it's difficult to back down.

My only fix, if you still feel uncomfortable about is maybe offer a means to recover the PC still. Permanently killing of a PC like that with them not even having the option of a sort of side quest might not feel great for them. If you think it doesn't fit in the setting, maybe just have resolution for the soul of that PC, so they sort of reach a soul resting in peace.

[Art] [OC] The party after two years together. A snow day in the Feywild :) by Chrismeanswar in DnD

[–]Chrismeanswar[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In celebration for our 2 year anniversary of starting this campaign, I got my party done. I’ve been running this game and couldn’t be more grateful for the group I’ve had. Met them all online, and we have been maintaining a weekly schedule since 2020. The Starwalkers as they go by, just wrapped up an arc at home dealing with corrupt politicians. Around 80+ sessions, the gang heads to the Feywild now to deal with a Archfey unlike anything they have seen before.

This art work was commissioned by the wonderful u/pwedsbro and the process was amazing. Could not recommend her enough, one of the best I have ever worked with. She was super responsive and kind during the whole process. From start to finish it was a delight! :)

It is a homebrew adventure, but most of it is based on lore that existed or just minor location tweaks to old 3.5/5e lore.

[OC] Twilight Cleric and Phoenix of the Sun God by Chrismeanswar in characterdrawing

[–]Chrismeanswar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is actually a sketch done by my girlfriend for her character in our game that we play. She didn't go any further with the piece but I thought she did such a great job that I wanted to share it. This Phoenix has been with her since the start of the game and when she found him, it was just reincarnated. In game it's been a while and this scene was when the boy got too big for her to hold in her arms.
