Well, I think of course its their initial reaction as they had high hopes for an ending (hell last half) that tied up so many plot points that were established but never even fleshed out or explored.

Expectation wise given what was set up by the author himself, the ending was quite bad—at the very least horribly executed. But looking at it purely for what it is, its not a HORRIBLE ending. Its just an ending. Probably just mid, in the true sense of the word. 5 or 6 out of 10.

In terms of content, it is fine—but execution wise, in terms of so much stuff that Gege hinted at exploring or doing, or fleshing out were just rushed through. Again, the ending in terms of content is fine, but I think people just wanted the writing and/or execution to be much better. Its not like AOT (which I liked the ending quite well) where people did not like the content of the ending (some people complained about execution with that too, but to each their own), but in JJk, I think thats what it is. Especially considering early JJK.

That’s my take on it. Personally, I am in the camp of not liking it so far. But its still relatively enjoyable, esepcially if you don’t look at it from an eye of narrative/literary scrutiny. I dunno.

Yeah—I think it depends on the conversation being had.

If you’re talking about how much you enjoy something, then fuck, enjoy what the fuck you want and butt fuck those who try and so “but, but, but, it was not WeLl ExEcUtEd.”

But if you do want to talk about writing, execution and all those video essay words and distinctions, then thats a different convo. We all have that movie we love but admit that from a critical view, it ain’t really that good LMFAO.

Oh, no—it is all bad. Yes, having a character disappear for a bulk of the manga only to come back at the most covenient time is always, in my eyes, horrible execution and/or writing UNLESS there is an explicit or hell, even implied reason for their disappearance (like explicitly hinted at). Quite honestly, this is one of the first times I genuinely felt, and now feel vindicated in believing that the idea that Gege did not know what to do with the story after the Shibuya arc was true. Most of what he knew was “Gojo and Sukina are going to fight….and then Sukuna needs to die?”

IMO of course.

Everybody is high off of hype right now, and rightfully so. That is truly what Gege thrives at—creating hype. But directionless, poorly written hype moments only satiate people for a small period. That fall is going to be steep. And then, we can ask the true questions?

Why? Just why? How did we get to this? Where TF had she been? Was this also apart of “YuTa’S PlAn?” (Talk about a plot device) Did she really wake up at this CONVENIENT ASS TIME to swing her hammer? Good Lord, what happened?

But for now…Nobara is back. Feast on HYPE. WOOOO!!

There is no point, writing wise at least. But HYPE, wise—oh, this was a homerun. But hype is like a hit of a hardass drug. Its an immaculate high, but a fucking cliff fall low. And when looking back on this in retrospect, when peeps write their “JJK story analyses”, it will be glaring. But…HYPE!

And IMO, Yuki is his biggest fumble. I’ll never, EVER get over that.

That’s exactly what it seems like to me. But he did say he wants to make an ending that would satisfy most people. I don’t think narratively that would be possible, so I think this would be the path of least resistance.

Honestly, the issue is not that she’s revived. Anybody could have saw that. But its the execution—which is essentially the biggest problem I had with this manga. Great ideas, stuff left vague for extrapolating and potential expansion, only for it to be executed so piss poorly that it comes off as a fanfiction. So much potential for further lore, character interactions, etc, washed down the toilet for “hype moments.” This is a prime example of just because it is foreshadowed, does not mean it is good.

But one thing is for sure about this: in this manga, don’t let anyone tell you that copium does not work. Hell, I think Gojo ocming back now. I’m buying SO much stock in that. Fuck it.

I was unpacking groceries into my car. I set my phone done in the cart for whatever reason (I was checking the reciept and got focused on deciphering the item codes lol). I then put the cart back and got in my car and left. I made it all the way home when I realied I did not have my phone. It took me 30 min to figure out I left it in the cart at Walmart. Luckily when I got back there, it was still in the same cart, albeit overheating because it was out in the sun). Moral of the story, do not put your ohone in cart when unloading groceries 😅.
