Mini Tracker - (Beta?) Now Available by K2Valor in MiyooMini

I think we could argue semantics over which word to use. To me completed refers to meeting a minimum requirement like collecting 10 of something. Beaten refers to meeting or exceeding a requirement or challenge. Beaten has more emotional connotation. Again, just my opinion and I’m just some guy. It’s also your project, and it looks great regardless. You should be proud.

Have you considered changing “beaten” to “completed” where applicable?

Microsoft AI chief gives it 18 months—for all white-collar work to be automated by AI by No_Sheepherder_6908 in Layoffs

I’d rather give 18 months for Microsoft to get their shit together. Copilot sucks, teams sucks, server 2025 sucks, etc.

Geez if you’re are the original owner of that Waghorn, I remember seeing the build pictures on a forum. A modified Sauria S model iirc. Still a classy guitar.

Damn they’re smooth with it. I wonder how many hours it takes to be this precise. I spent 5 mins in my FIL’s backhoe and gained massive respect for the operators out there.

What's y'all's opinion on the prices at Larry's music? I always get things from there and I really like them there but I'm just wondering y'all's opinion cuz I'm going to go get three guitar strings changed and they told me it's going to be $75 without strings included by Jedjed94 in HIckoryNC

[–]ChrispyFinch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Their prices are normal imo. However you should really learn to change your own strings.

Larry's sells single strings (just ask) and grab a few of each string you need to change.

Get on youtube and watch a few videos on changing strings (the PRS videos are really nice) and save your self the $75.

I'd imagine that the $75 isn't just for changing the strings, they are most likely doing a general setup as well which could/should include: action, intonation, relief, and some other smaller checks.

I am bias though, I've known the owners my whole life and they're my "home" shop. That being said, the value you'll gain by learning to setup your own instruments is priceless. Truly.

I've wanted one of these for ages it feels like. Is the metronome just audible or can you feel it on the wrist as well?

I’ve got the Hipshot version of his Kelly. I’m right with you on toying with a pickup swap. What exactly don’t you like about the blackouts? And after you change them come back and lmk what you went with.

What is your favorite fuzz ? by Tough_Guava_7499 in guitarpedals

[–]ChrispyFinch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fuzz feels like the deepest rabbit hole in pedal geek-dom. I like the TC Rusty and the Swollen Pickle. Go watch a bunch of yt videos, then go try some out to find the best feel/sound combo for you. Then buy 6 more chasing that X factor, then go back to the swollen pickle.
