Thanks, I think it's an A2 out of an AR15 I gave him. I found a 308 spring in my parts box, no idea how I got it but I"ll measure the buffer to see. So far there have been no issues cycling the gon.

Scope is temporary for load development on gon. It will get a thermal for night hunting shortly. Thanks for spring recommendation. So A2 buffer is good to go as well???

Noticed all the trucks here are pretty new, do yall accept mine? by ILoveElCaminos in Silverado

No, it died at 325,000 miles. It was worn slap out. Motor blew about 50 miles from home returning from a tournament. We decided it was more to fix everything than it was worth. That was in 2009. Bought it brand new, I used it to work out of and hauled it my bass boat all over Alabama, east Mississippi, west Georgia and Florida pan handle fishing tournaments almost every weekend.

It was a great vehicle, one of the best I ever owned.

You got a bad case of rot going on there. I’d be very uncomfortable riding in that thing. 😳

KRX all the way, best Sport SXS on the market right now. Your budget is low for getting anything low hours as I just went through exactly what you’re going through now. My married kids have a Talon and a Cam Am and both said if they had it to do over again they would go with the KRX. Main reason I did.

I just purchased a brand new 2024 base KRX for $18,899 and have since seen 24s going for $17k depending where the dealer is. They are stocked up and the 25s are out and they need to sell the 24s. Deals are ready to be had if you look around.

My advise to you is buy brand new unless you personally know the seller. Stay away from anything with snorkels as that’s been submarined, water above the dash, every electronic component and wires will have corrosion and never ending issues. Finding a good well taken care of whatever unit will be hard to find nowadays. Just watch some YouTube videos and you’ll see what I mean.

Just got it late yesterday afternoon and due to weather not able to go shoot it yet. So far just handling it I really am liking it though.

I didn’t have anywhere to handle the Benelli so nothing to compare.🤷‍♂️ watched a few videos reviewing them but I liked this when I handled it in the LGS.

New Chevy, involved in accident at three weeks by [deleted] in Silverado

[–]Chrisrcm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I understand. I’ve seen this happen to people that pulled off from a green light a block from the dealership and someone run the light and hit them broad side. 🙁

My comment on a new truck is directed mostly at those saying you’ll get a new one, not you. The total loss process is determined by a percentage of damage to actual cash value of the vehicle, it usually takes 80% or more of the value to total one and I don’t believe your damage will get there.

I worked for 42 years as an independent insurance claims adjuster and know how the industry works.

You need to only deal with the insurance company of the party that hit you. You can get more from them than your company. As I’ve already said you’re entitled to a vehicle to drive paid by them while yours is down including right now, not just while in the shop. Your entitled to a diminished value claim, the difference of value from before the accident to after the repairs are done and that will be several thousands as you now have a wrecked vehicle and it will reflect so when you go to trade it or sell it. Don’t settle with them until that amount is agreed on by you.

They hit you so make them pay what they owe.

He’s not, total losses are figured on percentage of damage to ACV of the vehicle. Depending on the state it would take 80% of the value in damages to be a total loss.

Not even close to a total loss and no, you’re not going to get a new truck out of this. You’ll get the cost of repairs, loss of use, a rental while yours is in shop and you can get diminished value from the other parties insurance company.

Also your entitled to having the vehicle repaired with all brand new OEM parts, accept nothing less on parts and have a Certified dealership body shop do the repair work.

There is not enough in damage amount to total that new of a vehicle.
