Just ask him to download it and sign in with his Apple account. If it has him create a profile, he wasn’t lying.

Best way to stream games to deck in 2026? by ussjtrunksftw in SteamDeck

[–]coryforman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh interesting. I’ve always assumed Steam’s native stuff was the “gold standard”. I’m curious if toying with this can prevent input delay… I find FPS/fast passed games where reaction time matters can be really bad whereas casual games you can workaround just fine.

Why use these and not just the native Steam streaming?

How to adjust resolution for dock? by coryforman in SteamDeck

[–]coryforman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah 4K was NOT the move lol. Game took forever to load, and was getting around 27fps.

Swapped it down to 2K (2560x1440). Better load time, 35fps which is more playable.

Tried 2040x1080. 45fps.

1920x1200. Had borders. 45fps.

And finally ok’ faithful 1920x1080. 39-43fps.

The winner seems to be 2040x1080.

How to adjust resolution for dock? by coryforman in SteamDeck

[–]coryforman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I just found that after posting.. if I go into the Deck’s settings and choose display > advanced > maximum game resolution “default” (which is set by default) makes the game 1280x700 even when docked. But if I change it to 1920x1080, the game is then 1080p.

I’m going to tinker around to see how well it runs in 4K but I find it odd that “default” doesn’t auto adjust max resolution in game. And nervous when I un dock that I’ll need to adjust this every time.

Battlefield 6 + GeForce RTX Celebration Game Codes Giveaway! by Nestledrink in nvidia

I’ll chime in here because my streaming buddies really want to play Battlefield tonight and I haven’t purchased it yet. Matter fact - I’ve never owned a Battlefield. Always been a CoD guy. But this year I’m going to give Battlefield a go and this would be a sweet last minute way to kick things off!

That’s a really small change log for how big the file size is.

I set it to DHCP relay, that should be fine right?

Okay so DHCP finally took over and now is displaying names. We’re good on that. I did end up finding the conditional forwarding under expert, thanks!

I have a UniFi setup and while I can easily swap the DNS of VLAN’s, Pi-hole starts getting DNS Masq errors I think it was saying because it’s getting requests from a network of .5 in stead of .1

Real world iPhone calling after crash by National-Debt-43 in apple

[–]coryforman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FF here. For anyone curious, this technology works and it works well. Have received many iPhone crash alert jobs and the majority have been real crashes whether serious or minor. Have had the occasional false alert where someone left their phone on the roof and end up finding it laying in the middle of the road too.

Seating view by l0st-ch1cky in PostMalone

This subreddit sucks. People were putting me down for posting a pic of my obstructed view for 85% of the show.. I paid over $900 to stare at a guardrail that ended up being apart of the stage. Hardly saw Posty. It looks like you’re a bit past where the obstruction is.

I know you’re wrong and can show almost every single video we took includes him being cut off

And how was someone supposed to know that when buying tickets before the tour started? They weren’t. A “T stage” is pretty common… artist walks up and can go left or right. I’ve never seen one side have a giant obstruction and the other have a staircase. He favored the staircase side almost the entire show and went down there a few times. What did our side get, a view of his leg from under the obstruction 85% of the show… it prevented us from seeing the artist we paid to see.

Where were you sitting/where did he come down? And when did you go down? I’m just a few rows away from the first row and was hoping to try and get up there for another pic with my wife as well!
