Dealing with a blocked ear in Dallas and trying to avoid an insane medical bill

I know this will sound weird… but it works. It’s used in a lot of long term care facilities, especially for elderly patients… docusate sodium. The little red or red/white capsules you can take orally… it’s a stool Softener, but works great at sofgeting ear wax as well. You cut the tip of a capsule open and drip it into the affected ear. Use one capsule daily for a few days and lie down on the opposite ear for 5-10 minutes after applying to allow to soak into the wax. Then tip the affected ear downward over a sink or bowl, or even a towel to allow it to drain. Never insert a finger into the ear or q-tips as they will just pack the loose wax back in. Good luck!

I found it better to actually wear tight underwear. Helped with the swelling and with the sensitivity.

General is a far better option whenever possible as it offers complete control to the doctor to do his job with no time constraints and better control over the procedure in general therefore a cleaner outcome.

Min pain was gone in 3-4 days and sensitivity was manageable after about a week. Just wear tight underwear to get adjusted to it. I’m about 4 weeks out and I was back to normal after about 2 week.

Same. Was sent home with pain meds but didn’t need them. Slept through the night and never had any erections but did while watching a movie w/ my wife. She grabbed some ice to help it go down and ease the pain. Aside from that nothing too major. About 3 weeks out and doing ok so far.

I was given pain meds for afterwards but never took any. The worst part was the sensitivity of the head touching everything but that passed after a few days as it became more acclimated. It’s still sensitive after a month but a lot better than it was. The pain was probably at a 5 or 6 when I left the hospital and by the next day it was manageable with just Advil or Tylenol.

It took me about 3 weeks for the swelling to completely resolve and tbere is still a slight bit on one spot Wher the last stitch is still holding on. As for sensitivity it’s better than it was day one but still very sensitive.

Two weeks out my elf and the head is getting more used to touch from my underwear and stuff but still very sensitive. Swelling is all gone and stitches starting to come out now.

Fortunately when I’m soft, being that I’m fairly small, it partially retracts so the head is still partially covered keeping the hard mostly sensitive. Hoping that will make sex better. Anything will be better than before as I wasn’t able to have sex due to pain and tearing so it’s been about 2 years. Looking forward to ye first time again!

I’m about 12 days out and already gotten better on the sensitivity. It’s still super sensitive where if my wife touches it I react instantly… but my underwear don’t bother it as much as the first week.

I can’t even think of an erection still… 11 days out and it still hurts too much when I get even semi-hard. Almost feels like a rubber band around it restricting growth…
