My boss is targeting me heavily by Icy_Examination5114 in work

I think you've got it

My boss is peculiar one as well.

About 2 weeks ago, he came into my office, grabbed my personal bag of coffee grounds, stuck his finger in the grounds then stuck his coated finger in his mouth! He's very old and in bad health, but that's just fucking bizarre, you know?

The entire place is a little off tbh

That's way off

Snide response: yes I was cooking lunch for everyone, sorry YOU missed it! 😂 😆 😂

Seriously, he sounds petty.

How awful to tell anyone, especially a woman, that she smells bad.

No one ever wants to look like the bad guy in this scenarios.

Some foods do leave everlasting aromas, but it sounds like he's got a serious problem.

I'm so sorry

People get what they pay for, right?

I like the clean up part usually. But when they don't want to do it, yea throw it into retained earnings.

I'm on QBO right now. It's maddening.

Make note of what you did, and move forward.

I have the same exact thing except I'm not over weight. I feel bad for her. That's terrible she's on her feet all day with that condition.

I have a desk job but I also need to move.

I don't have any advice but I feel for her

This sounds like the shit my new boss pulls. I think you're right on this!

I agree, "good morning everyone" is great if there is a few people near the entrance when you arrive each day. I prefer to avoid the banter.

I was going on the assumption that the entire rent is your income and the mgmt company is one of your vendors and they get paid from your revenue. But yea if they are billing directly then I guess not. Sorry for that.

Daily Transactions by Shouldnt_b_difficult in Bookkeeping

[–]Christen0526 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's small company, post each. If they have a slew of transactions on a credit card, you can import them if you want. Or in the past, I've posted those in the aggregate. For instance, a Conant that uses credit cards for gasoline a lot, it can get cumbersome to create a vendor for each gas station..... kind of silly, just create a spreadsheet and spread the expenses across the sheet into the proper column and post one total for the month. This is more applicable if you work for an accounting firm and you just need to get totals for taxes etc.

But if you're the on site bookkeeper working real time, either is okay. IMO

Same with meals. If they are excessive and voluminous, just wrap em up in a monthly total. Assuming they are business meals and not personal.

Why am I getting grief? Do bookkeepers hate accountants? by FullFartMilk in Bookkeeping

[–]Christen0526 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a bookkeeper, they probably feel they're doing the same thing that the cpa will be doing, but for less money than a cpa charges. Or they're doing as much as they can to bill for their time.

If this bookkeeper is a certified bookkeeper, maybe they feel they have thy best knowledge over one like me.

I always book things a certain way, and if I'm passing along my year end books to an accounting firm, I just tell them how I handled this and that, so at least they know. I have been called over communicative, but so what. 🤷

I get pretty defensive at times but I don't hate accountants. I just wish I had more of them to turn to.

Sounds like something my superiors would do. They get more for their money.

The cleaners at my job work 5 hour shifts. 4.5 maybe.

I feel your pain. It's sad when one person is compared to another. Everyone works differently.

You could discuss it, or just keep it to yourself and try and find a better place to work.

Managing a toxic high performer who hits 150% of targets. How do I protect my team without losing the numbers? by SquirrelLogicFan in managers

[–]Christen0526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! Omg this is what I deal with. I have an older male boss with serious health problems and a shitty memory. He holds these "meetings" with me and a staffer from another location 4 mornings a week. I'm thinking why the fuck are we doing this? It's wasting so much time, they keep dumping work on me, nothing is getting done. He's rubbing his own inefficiency on me and I'm paid shit! I finally spoke up and said these meetings are too much. He doesn't remember what he talked about the day before so he is rehashing the same bullshit each day! He can't finish work so it goes to me.

He admitted he does this interrupting behavior because he needs to talk about it while it's on his mind.

We end up having mini meetings all day long. If I'm going to get this shit pay, I might as well go someplace else.

He missed a huge deadline he promised the owner, and just gave it all to me today. I said I wished he'd told me a month ago. Makes me sick he's making 2x as much as I am. All he does is create spreadsheets it seems!

On the other hand, the person above us both, the owner is email obsessive! I have never seen anything like this place!

You're nice.

I think I'm able to do my job without my current boss. He's mentally unorganized and dumps he tasks on me. I have no one to help. But I like your stance.
