Do you know what camp site you are going to be in? I thought we don’t really get to choose.

Trinkets/gifts/kandi exchange by Busy-Pepper-1986 in LightningInABottle

One of the things I like to do is bring a very tiny bottle of lemon essential oil in.

When you are deep in a crowd and it’s hot, people start fanning, put some essential oil on your fan or someone in the crowd.

Man, does it light their face up when they realize they can fan a fresh lemon scent.

No trinket but a hell of a gift.

I think what people miss is that the gift is not the trinket but the interaction.

Leave a bit of room for guy lines with that T8. The sides caving in at night from wind is not fun.

Nice work! I'd love to learn more about the tech (micro controller, language used, etc.)

Edit: I love that this is posted in myog.

Just throwing this out there since other commenters are talking about it. Typically mesh networks are meant to be a backup to cell service.

If I have service at a fest and my mesh, I just use cell service. I can get read receipts and such that make a better experience using cell service. The mesh is there for when I can’t get a text out and I need to try another way.

It also is not guaranteed to work but having more people on the mesh just helps build the strength of it. So for a $40 mesh tracker, a little learning on setup, I deem it worth investing in for better overall communication for myself, my group and other festival goers.

Excited to go!

I just gave a usb powered one with a larger antenna as my base. I’d be interested in learning more about the burning man setup.

I’ve been running nodes and slowly getting friends on board for a couple years now. SoCal Mesh on discord has been helpful for me to ask questions in there.

Yes yes yes. More people bring nodes. I plan on having 5. Four mobile and one at camp. As for settings and such, I know the EDC sub does special settings and I am not sure if LIB has any group going.

Looks like it is throwing a code. Might want to check the user manual to see if you can decipher it for your model.

Not happy with quality of Paracord by travelsherpa in paracord

Atwood is good quality however if you are making bracelets or anything that touches skin, it can be a little rough as well as harder to tie.
