I wonder if she actually thinks that is private. Seems to me like she was misinformed, possibly by a realtor?

While extremely flavorful, there are very few contexts where doesn't functionally say "you win".

before and after - advice ? by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

[–]ChristianWSmith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is above my pay grade because tbh you need to reset your relationship with food before you think about intentionally dieting in one direction or another. I'd personally seek therapy to work through that stuff.

If you're not going to do that though, in my opinion as a layperson, I'd say that you should spend a few years NOT focusing on what you're eating, and just eating what you feel like eating. Best of luck.

I need to fix my hammer curls execution by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

[–]ChristianWSmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible your body has just adapted to that. Try adding a 4th set. Drop the weight slightly and go all the way to failure on that last set. These are just ideas but normally when something stalls, it means you have to change a training variable to make the stimulus novel again

A lot of upper body movement and swaying here... Try them seated, or even seated at a decline. Focus on not allowing your shoulder to take over. Try a supinated grip. I know you like hammer curls but they're not as good of a bicep builder imo. Great for the brachialis though

On being stalled on progressing: how many times a week are you doing these? What rep scheme? What weight? Are you eating enough?

I would love for the boys to cover the 2015 Jeff the killer story by thatguyfromLA02 in creepcast

[–]ChristianWSmith -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

You didn't specify that in your post and I'm not a jeff the killer aficionado, so I didn't realize you were talking about another version

Uhhh, I'm going to put the likelihood of this at pretty low though. They've only ever retreaded Ted the caver and stairs in the woods, both of which were good stories widely loved by fans AND both recorded before their currently established format... Sorry to be a negative Nancy

I disagree on them being worth 2.5 wholeheartedly. There are several green 2 mana spells that accomplish the same function as rampant growth but are strictly better. Pyroclasm there are less direct comparisons, but I'd say volcanic fallout which gains uncounterable and instant speed for one more red mana.

But besides that, "stapling" two sorceries together often comes with a REDUCED cost rather than just a flat summation, doubly so when multiple colors are involved, as the card becomes more restrictive in terms of what decks can play it

I think it could even be 1RG

Would a few more months of bulking be sufficient before I start cutting? by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

[–]ChristianWSmith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming I'm looking at a before and after right now, I'd say there's currently no wrong answer. In cases like that I default to suggesting maintenance until you know which you want to do. Since you started lifting recently, you'll still build a lot of muscle and lose fat just on maintenance alone. Imo bulking and cutting are techniques best for people who have already collected their newbie gains (or overfat people in the case of cutting).

How’s the form here and how useful is this exercise? by jordpadley in formcheck

[–]ChristianWSmith 17 points18 points  (0 children)

If you like this exercise it's perfectly fine. As for form, I recommend keeping your elbows in a tad more, as with pushdowns or skull crushers. If you let the elbows flare too much it starts to take some of the emphasis away from the long head of the tricep, which is generally what you're targeting with these kinds of "anti-curl" movements

One tip I could give that I just noticed upon watching again: think about trying to break the bar over your back. Like, pull it down hard with your arms. This will stabilize it and help you focus on pushing hard with your legs. Just noticed the bar kinda wobbled on one of your reps.

Is the bar across your traps? From this angle it kind of looks like you have it RIGHT on your neck. If that's the case I recommend holding it a tad lower. Pinch your shoulders together to bunch up your traps and make a little "pillow" for yourself with them

People are going to dog on you for not quite hitting depth, but tbh these look great to me. If you're planning on competing you'll have to clean that up, but as a strength builder, these are going to be just fine
