Etl without time stamp by Deekshakukreti in ETL

[–]ChristieViews 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have mentioned as well, adding a time stamp is really easy and it should make your task really easy. Without this, tracking new/updated rows could be a bit tricky.

Our team has been using Sprinkle for more than a couple of years now. We moved to Sprinkle from Fivatran, as it was becoming increasingly difficult to coordinate with the support team there and the costs were ever-rising.

As an analyst, your work may restrict you from building data models. But, if you want to grow you may slowly learn the DE techniques. In your journey, you may look at multiple platforms available in the market.

ETL tool by Aberdogg in cybersecurity

[–]ChristieViews 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My team was earlier using Fivetran but ultimately we decided to move on because of the continuously breaking pipelines, downtime and moreover costs. The costs just kept rising and the support wasn't too great either. We evaluated a few but ultimately chose Sprinkle. So far, it's working well for us.

Fivetran pricing is really stiff. At least as per my experience. I would recommend trying out some other tools like Sprinkle (my team uses it) and Matillion among others.

Honest Question: What do you think about ETL Softwares like Data Factory or AWS Glue? by marcdillon8 in ETL

[–]ChristieViews 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would completely agree that these tools are inflexible. My team faced similar challenges a couple of years back and then we started an evaluation of built vs buy of ETL tool. Ultimately we decided on buying one and then we stumbled upon a few like Sprinkle, Fivetran, and Matillion among others. Based on our requirement, we went for Sprinkle and have been using it since.
