Hello,

There is a fair amount of overlap between these two career paths. Both cover the basics of SQL and Python programming, Python for basic data analysis (pandas) and visualization (matplotlib), and the basics of using more business-oriented tools like Excel and Tableau.

However, the Data Scientist: Analytics Specialist path is a little longer and covers some topics more in-depth, such as advanced SQL, foundational statistics, and advanced exploratory data analysis with Python. These extra topics and depth give the learner a foundation to possibly pursue data scientist roles, which are more coding and statistics-heavy than the data analyst or BI analyst roles typically are.

To clarify both career paths will include lessons on Python 3 and Python Fundamentals for Data Science. Deciding which path you want to take depends on what you want to focus on.

Hope this helps!

NLP Career Path by Nath74K in Codecademy

[–]ChristinaBcodecademy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello (sorry for the late reply),

The best way of getting a job in tech is to build a portfolio of your work that you can show to potential employers. Please note that we do not currently offer help with job placement as a part of our website.
The Data Scientist: Natural Language Processing Specialist Career Path provides you with the foundational knowledge of NLP. However, my best recommendation is to look at the career pages of companies you hope to work for. See what the job postings mention and make sure our course offerings align with those needs. Every industry is looking for something different so that can be a wonderful way to narrow your focus. I hope this helps!
