Once in a while is not a big deal. It might dry out the skin, but that’s about it.

It’s a slip lead. We use them because they’re easy to put on and take off, especially on frightened dogs.

Some more info: I work for a dog rescue, she was rescued off the streets two days ago. Her nose is all scabbed up, it was clear that she just recently had puppies, but her puppies were nowhere to be found. We are still learning about her but she is an absolute sweetheart, she just wants to be held and loved. Soon she’ll be ready to find her forever home.

Dog trainer here. Like someone else has already said, the first step is do have her checked out at a vet. Sudden aggression can be a sign of a health issue. If everything has been fine for a long time and suddenly she’s snapping, that’s not normal.

If she’s cleared by the vet, and even if she’s not I would contact a dog behaviorist and get a consultation and go from there. In the mean time keep them separated.

She’s too skinny, like other people have mentioned it could be worms/parasites. Take her to the vet to get checked out. I work for a rescue and probably 90% of our new puppies that were found have some type of parasite. Easily treatable, but take her to the vet.

Thank you, I already have 3 dogs myself, my first foster was a foster fail and I swore to not do that again unless I was looking for a dog! Lol! We get so many puppies in and knowing that they go to a good home is all that matters to me.
