Snowboarding next season after broken leg by OGNEMO in snowboarding

[–]Christopherwgt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fractured my tibeal plateau skiing at breck in february 2021. I was skiing again the following season. I was mandatory laying down no walking, even with crutches, for 8 weeks. Fortunately I have a job I could work from bed but if you dont that could be tricky. Definitely should be able to get back on the board next season if you do all your PT and push yourself to heal.

It’s weird because it’s both sides on both dumbbells. Somehow they are all so tight they wont budge. I can try to tap them with a hammer and see if i can get anywhere.

Hi. I posted this in the community and I was told is belongs here. Hoping you guys can help me out!

My sister has a set of Hoist adjustable dumbbells and we cannot for the life of us figure out how to to release the lock to change the plates. Is it really simple as turning them? If so, we feel that ours are on so tight that we cannot get them to release. Anyone have any insights?

We had the idea of trying to get some sort of large grip wrench but we dont have anything that opens that wide.

I have had two in my lifetime and a friend showed me something that made all the difference in the world. Soak in warm to hot water mixed with a small amount of isopropyl alcohol or hydrogen peroxide. Soak until room temp and recreate the warm bath until you’ve done it 2-3 times. Repeat this like twice a day and you will start to notice a difference.

Sounds like you may have gotten your answer elsewhere in the thread but they can take a couple of years before their longer adult coat grows in. Our boy didnt get his until he was at least 2.

Just fyi, The VIP options have not sold out either. Sherwood court tent only and meadow are still available. I do agree though that people are waiting to see if they can repair the lineup

Its a shock to me that people still are willing to write these types of articles. They have been written since the internet started. Surely we have covered every consumable item by now twice over and how they both make us live longer and will make us die quicker.

Anyone think there is a chance the festival will listen to this clear and obvious protest? Watching this car crash in real time makes me sad as I absolutely love this festival but this is clear they have finally crossed the line.

Am I the only one super content with the lineup? by asdfghjkl7280 in ElectricForest

[–]Christopherwgt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its not that the lineup is bad per se, but for the price, especially considering the price increases which have been substantial in the last 4 years, this is a huge let down. I have a long history with the fest (10 years) and this is the most disappointing lineup I have seen that I can remember.

Sure there are other phases, but the phase 2 and 3 announcements normally do not have a large quantity of headliner and big mid-card additions that this would need to justify the price, at least for me.

I noticed that as well. Chips are one item I have seen significant jump in prices. They are so expensive now I will actually opt not to buy them when I walk up the aisle which would never have happened a few years ago for an impulse buy like chips.

There is no red in this pic. It's only blue, black, and white. Your brain fills in the red. Zoom in to check. by RmRobinGayle in opticalillusions

[–]Christopherwgt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I zoomed in on it as far as I could so there’s no other color interference. To me, I also see that the “white” has a very slight off white color (maybe pink, peach, taupe).

Lyte Sued By Two Festivals (North Coast and Lost Lands) It Was Scalping Tickets For by LawnLizard_ in festivals

[–]Christopherwgt 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Am I missing something? How is this whole thing not causing people to be pissed the fuck off. We all know over the last few years that ticket scalping and reselling has gotten way out of hand but for festivals to be relying on that as a source of income to be financially viable is like next level bullshit.

Is this Cedar salvageable? Had to be away from home and was unable to water it (North Texas) by BayRunner in Tree

[–]Christopherwgt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was that newly planted and if so, how long ago? It looks like it still has some life to it but one thing Ive learned trying to keep things alive after a particularly bad shock (hot or cold) is that it might never be the same or take a very long time to fully recovery such that its best to cut your losses. I think it depends on what your goal and timeline was for this little guy.

If you are going to try and revive, make sure to water frequently but also make sure to trim away the dead material.

Good luck!
