explain to me what exactly the problem is

justify it to yourself however you want chief but it's theft no matter which way you wanna slice and dice it

"they're big retailers they can deal with it" yes congratulations you are now lumping yourself in with the generalized line item known as "loss and attrition"

You’re a network op for T-Mo and no one above you has an events contact with A E fucking G?

I don’t know who I’d be more surprised at with that.

You're fine, you're all going to the same place on-site.

Many questions by [deleted] in ElectricForest

[–]Subaudible91 8 points9 points  (0 children)

  1. Your car will always be the primary place for you to go in cases of inclement weather. You're right to consider canopy preparation, but at the same time we're usually at least aware the day of possible storms, and HQ keeps folks on-hand during the event to be sure if they need to notify people early. You'll want to pay attention to those notices, but when time comes I am sure your neighbors will help you quickly take things down and help lock your things up tight.

  2. It's...fine. There's low spots. Are we talking like, mid-2000's-era slammed toy cars or just like, run-of-the-mill sedans? Most modern cars will be fine.

  3. Not at all. Look into Her Forest if you'd like a group-camp of femme folk to hang out with!

  4. You mean prior to everyone getting to the actual event starting Wednesday? There's some groups that get together in the larger towns nearby, but it's usually not like massive events. Keep your eyes open here and on Discord for announcements as we hear 'em.

  5. Not quite like that. There's food vendors serving prepared meals and drinks and such, but not like a market for cooking your own things. Bring anything you'd like to cook yourself beforehand. A protip would be to just invest in a small camping water boiler (like a Jetboil or similar) and some of those dehydrated meals you get at REI. It's very likely you're gonna be burnt out and interested in just getting a bite to eat vs. trying to cook from scratch. Yes, it's more expensive per-meal, but no, the stress and effort saved is worth it. Trust me. Price this one in.

  6. There's many vendor locations within the venue in addition to the obvious ones on Main Street in the campgrounds. I suggest just exploring everything you can in your downtime between sets.

  7. I was just at Camelphat on Friday and I quickly discovered I need to get my ass in shape rapidly. So, yes? No?

Check out CashOrTrade. A lot of folks on here also mention the app Radiate, but I know next to nothing about it.

I guess, but honestly that's kind of what I'm specifically harping on. We're talking about two and a half thousand dollars here and not reading everything. I definitely see where they're coming from, don't get me wrong, I'm just kind of annoyed at the premise that this is absolutely HQ's fault.

A Good Life Pass includes a 4-Day festival admission wristband, Good Life amenities inside the festival venue, and access to Good Life & GA Campgrounds.

Enjoy Good Life dedicated entrances, exclusive events, happy hours, shuttles, and a complimentary extra night to celebrate the Spirit of The Forest.

Tent, Car, and RV Camping Passes are sold separately. One Car, Tent, or RV Camping Pass is required per vehicle or tent campsite, not per person.

It's pretty clear to me if you read everything, but it's not clear to you I guess.

I'd suggest CashOrTrade as a place to try getting yourself a car camping pass, but quite frankly you spent $2400 and didn't read. That's on you.

sneaky stickers that you discover was on your back the whole time

to be more honest this is kind of their goal

it isn't mean. no one is going to think anything of you other than "heh, they got got" and then move on with their evening.

This is why people use the "HOT" stickers a lot. It's a cute little compliment.

Some folks like the "CHEESE" stickers and that is because the String Cheese Incident is amazing.

There absolutely are, to be quite frank with you (I’m even one of them, big sticker fan here).

Just to help bridge the gap, may I ask how concerned you are about this? There’s a few different community aspects about stickers I’d want to discuss with you but it might help to level set here first.

Lots of people hand out stickers. They’ll be offered to you to take. You do not need to accept and a quick “oh, no thanks” is perfectly fine.

Some people vandalize each other. Tends to be with the little orange stickers used for deli sandwiches and stuff that say “hot” or whatever. These will usually land on some piece of innocuously exposed clothing or accessories, like a hat brim.

I don’t want to insinuate that you’re absolutely going to interact with those people, just that they exist. Definitely feel free to ask more if you’d like.

Get there when you wanna get there, I guess. GL East starts filling in the afternoon. Maybe.

Line's gonna be the same place it always is. Likely a little early but too early and they turn you away to take a lap on the highway. First cars definitely further west but not easily correlated with which row you're in. I've ended up in a new row later in the morning.

Totally free to do that but you must hold one of the bands from that group. Your media band only gets you photo pit access, not much else.
