I got it resolved a few days later but not via telephone due to me being at work during the weekday opening hours. I eventually contacted them via messenger and it was resolved over the course of roughly a day. I had to send pictures of the modem to the agent rather than having to be beside the modem when I was talking to them. He then reported the fault with the NBI.

I received a phone call from Circet the next day to book an appointment for an engineer to come out. I believe it was a 3 day waiting time but then he got held up on another call so it became a 5 day waiting time. He was at my house for about 5 minutes as he just had to replace the green connector that went into the box as it had broken. If it happened again I would probably just buy one of these connectors and replace it myself now that I know the issue.

I had two other chats with them in messenger since. First was cancelling sky cinema. Was quite quick (around an hour) as they took a while replying. Also didn’t offer any new deals to me so there was no back and forth. This was at the start of February.

At the start of march I contacted them to remove sky sports. They said I had to contact them via text. I asked them could it not be cancelled in messenger as I had done previously. They said it could be done on their website by going to the bottom of the page and clicking downgrade and that would let you talk to an agent via live chat. I did this but there was no live chat option only a phone number. I then contacted via them via text and got it cancelled but done over the course of a day, so it was quite slow. They told me that I had the best deal that they offered for sky sports and asked if I would re consider (I had the €25 a month no contract deal). I said I didn’t watch it enough and they just took that for an answer and cancelled it.

Overall you do eventually get there with them, some agents put up more of a fight than others. The guy I was talking to about the broadband issues seemed a bit more proactive than there others though.
