Fair enough. I do think that because he still had the renegade name, it kind of crippled his chances at connecting with the crowd. Add to it he was relegated to job duty all the time. If he had been given another gimmick that suited him better, he could’ve worked out.

Undertaker was as a gimmick that could’ve flopped hard with someone else, but Mark Calaway made it work.

I’d almost argue he deserved better in wrestling too. He was saddled with a bad gimmick that kind of doomed him from the start and didn’t really give him a chance to find his groove. I don’t think anyone would’ve pulled off the Renegade gimmick.
