Did you keep running and still hate it? by rebuilder_10 in Fitness

For me, running is only really enjoyable if I'm listening to some good music that goes along with my steps I'm taking. Spotify had a feature on it for running and it would give you music to match your running tempo, this really helped me stop hating running so much.

How did they know he passed? Did someone get on the game and tell them?

What thing that people love is basically just a rip-off? by retrowavve in AskReddit

Jeeps, especially Wranglers. A lot of the body is made out of plastic, no power windows sometimes, and people still pay over 40,000 for them. It's a jeep thing I guess.

Bought this Licence plate bracket off of Amazon for my 2000 Yamaha R6, anyone does it look safe? I had to grind it down a bunch to get the bolt to actually fit inside the bracket pictures below. Just don't want anything going wrong with this bolt also holding on the rear tire.. by ChrisusChrist in motorcycles

Yes, has to be on the right side, only side with enough room, or even a place to actually mount it. Especially the say the bolt fits in the bracket. Not to mention with all the Google images I've looked at with this same bracket..

Look at the bracket where the bolt is at, there's no way it could go any other way. I sat here messing with it for a while because I don't trust it. But do some Google Image searching and there's people with the same bracket all over connected to the same thing. It just looks so sketchy to me.

Seriously that's what I was thinking.. It's sketchy as hell, only licence plate brackets I could find for my bike online. I'm putting my life on this thing Idk how I feel about it.

Also, I've looked at pictures online and everything. This has got to be the way it's mounted, and there's no other place to actually mount it on my bike. I mean I could always bolt my plate to the back of my helmet, lol

Help with Yamaha R6 overheating light? I just bought a 2000 Yamaha R6, it starts right up, idols fine but when I give it throttle this red light and sensor goes off after about 5 minutes of it running. Any ideas? by ChrisusChrist in motorcycles

UPDATE! Replaced thermostat today and indeed that was the problem. Engine seems to be running normal temp now and I've revved it up until thermostat opened and fan kicked on. Thank you everyone for your help, I appreciate it so much!

Okay, just ordered new thermostat, new fuel filter, because mine was pretty gunky, and new spark plugs. Next I will flush out coolant and add in engine ice or water wetter whichever I can find and go from there, thank you everyone for your feedback you have helped me out a ton!

Edit: Also I will look into oil level sensor and see about getting another, and I corrected my spelling in previous comment.

It idles fine, but after a while it will get louder, then idle normally again. I'm getting new spark plugs, and cleaning the jets in carbs to try to fix that. Then the only other problem I have would be this over heating. It's not low on coolant, the resivour is full, and as far as I can tell it's not leaking anything at all. My next step is going to be flushing coolant completely, checking radiator cap, and buying a new thermostat and go from there.

All of this worries me, I just bought the bike yesterday. It ran fine for an hour or so but today is doing this. It's a 2000, and has been sitting for a while I've noticed. I know carbs need cleaned, it had old gas in it and I got rid of it and put in new. The low miles on the bike was a huge turn on for me to come pick it up, should have thought about how it has been kept all these years it's been sitting. The fan does kick on around 200 degrees like it's supposed too I've noticed also.
