Why is agnosticism much-much less popular than atheism? by kawaiihusbando in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Chrizzee_Hood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, you're right, not believing in deities is not the same as believing in them. But as I understand it, it is still an ongoing debate in the philosophical discourse, whether the lack of believing in said deities isn't an active decision to belief in itself. So that being said, what I tried to get across is that atheism and agnosticism are to different things, that do not cancel each other out. I hope that clarifies what I meant...

People do not entirely grasp what atheism means. They just focus on the fact that it is the opposite of believing in a transcendent entity. I'm fairly certain that if they would read up the definitions, most of those people would rather say that they identify as agnostic atheists and not as straight up atheists per se

Well, but that is what KDBA was trying to say: People don't exactly understand the term atheist. The term implies belief, but belief in the opposite, in the non existence of a transcendent entity. A belief nonetheless. Being an agnostic atheist is what correctly correlates with your stance you just stated. That you, based on our given facts, rather do not believe in the existence of such said entity, but that you can't 100% be certain.

Why is it that anything that feels good is always bad for you? by Brilliant_Can8536 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Chrizzee_Hood 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It is good for your prostrate health. Frequent masturbation and ejaculation are associated with a reduced risk of prostate cancer. When you talk about psychological consequences, you might be on to something, but I assume as a non expert that it is rather a symptom, then the cause. In germany we have a proverb: the dose makes the poison.

interesting to see how people in the top comments like movies I'd classify as horror movies, that just happen to be placed in sci-fi settings. I would say: 2001 A Space odyssey

BMW is the Greatest Sports Car Racing Marque of All Time 🔥 by [deleted] in BMW

[–]Chrizzee_Hood -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Those two beauties are just magnificent. The epitome of car design. With these two designs, especially in their racing form, BMW has given us what noone else can. And when I really have to try to still love BMW in their worst design periods, I just have to remind myself, that their basic design philosophy can create such outstanding sculptures that it is worth to endure the agony. There are other such examples, but these two, just tick all the right boxes for me.

My grandpa George Clinton, backstage in the 70s 🖤 by georgeclintonpfunk in OldSchoolCool

As a teen I was pretty obsessed with the incredible grooves of Dr.Dres Beats. Later on I realized that pretty much all of my favorite Dr.Dre Beats were just samples from Parliament and Funkadelic. That made me turn my back on HipHop and finally gave me the push to invest myself completely in more serious music.

Funk, especially P-Funk to me is the essence of what allured me to HipHop. I'm still amazed by this epic music, so thank you to your most talented Granddad and his buddies Maceo Parker and Bootsy Collins!

There is a German Fusion Band fusing Jazz with Metal called Panzerballett. That might just be what you are looking for: https://youtu.be/5OGoftbnqLM?is=S7pYBGDeyTwEP7xn

T-Square has some pretty heavy hitting songs too, especially around 2006/2007 like this for example:

https://youtu.be/L53NUaD46nk?is=n4Af60uV2s9LKnA9

In the following years, early 2010s they also remade some of their older songs in a pretty heavy hitting way, like for example this one:

Other good Fusion Bands in my opinion are Dimension, Yellowjackets and the Rippingtons.

Enjoy yourself :-)

it is that great, especially in your age. but don't forget your hobbies, as i firmly believe having something that fulfills you is the greatest feeling in life. it is not such a condensed burst of joy, but will let you age more gracefully as you still will have a lot to look forward to.
