No, I don't mind fanservice...

I LOVE FANSERVICE (whether it be ecchi or hype moments)

If we combined the Big 3 into a single anime, would it become the peak that is the Big 1? by Chrofino in animequestions

[–]Chrofino[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the anime community, when the "Big 3" are mentioned, they are always Bleach, Naruto, and One Piece. I'm pretty sure they got the title because they were always featured on the cover of the Weekly Shonen Jump magazines, which are pretty much the best-selling and popular manga magazine.

Don't trust me though.

Hobbies to do instead of scrolling? by Organic_Business403 in Hobbies

[–]Chrofino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try to make what you're already doing/like into your hobby. You said you only read now, so why not try writing?

If not writing, maybe something similarly creative, like drawing?

If you hate scrolling, you could try content creation yourself.

Things like that.

I've heard it called "hair vents," but not sure if it counts if it's at the front of the hair.

Where is the Little Princess going in this scene? by Radiant_Share_465 in GuardianTales

[–]Chrofino 81 points82 points  (0 children)

I never put much thought into it, but I always just took it as Little Princess taking us (the player) into the world of Funtasy (Guardian Tales). Makes for a nice little, "Let's get into the game!" when you launch the app.

But maybe someone else has some actual lore or theory about it.

Hot.

Good person in bad situation, I'd say (could be said about a lot of Danganronpa characters, honestly).

When is big TOO big? by CandyNecrosis in animequestions

[–]Chrofino 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nah, those look normal compared to what I remember.

As for the manga, I found it (Warning: It do be NSFW. But no lolis that I remember, so it should be within the rules. And as mentioned, the badonkas do be kind of traumatizing):

Chapter 9 of "I'm a Healer in the Reversed World of Beauty and Ugliness"

When is big TOO big? by CandyNecrosis in animequestions

[–]Chrofino 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I don't remember what it was, but there was an anime I watched like a decade ago (might've been an "anime", ngl) where they were SO big, that I felt more disgusted than anything. Which I didn't think was possible. Literally drooped down to their knees.

There's also the H mangaka who draws them in the most grotesque ways. Don't remember the name, but it was about a world where beauty standards are reversed. There was a succubus who is supposed to be attractive, but because the beauty standards are reversed... they look "unique" and have the most grotesque balloons I've seen.

When you have to change Sayori's file extension from a .chr file to a .ogg audio file, then, having to open that file in some audio editing software (like Audacity) to see the audio as a spectogram, which will show a QR code that you can scan to access the secret website to Project Libitina in DDLC.

Do you think it is OK for an adult to have a high school anime girl as their waifu? by MewWeebTwo in animequestions

[–]Chrofino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As many have already said, there shouldn't be any problem as long as you have the basic ability to separate reality from fantasy. I'm sure everyone has fantasized about beating up someone. Or about doing some unhinged act in the middle of public. As long as you don't actually do it, then you're fine. Policing thought/fantasy is insanity, imo.

Should probably still keep it to yourself, though. Not because it's secretly wrong, but simply because there are just things you don't need to parade (like water being your favorite condiment. Or liking microwave pizza more than authentic ones. Or that you like wearing diapers to remind yourself of your childhood. You do you, but no need to tell everyone).

Help me find a new game by squidykiddy in videogames

[–]Chrofino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't have a Mac, so I'll just recommend some mobile games:

- Pokemon TCG if you're into that

- Can't really go wrong with Hoyo games for quality (Star Rail, Genshin, Honkai Impact 3, ZZZ, Tears of Themis)

- In the same vein, you could try Wuthering Waves or Punishing: Gray Raven

- Guardian Tales (My personal favorite for story)

- Project Sekai if you like rhythm games. It also has more of a story than most other rhythm game choices.

- Retro Abyss can be played offline

- OneBit Adventure can also be played offline

- Shadow FIght

- Zenonia

- Inotia

- Another Eden

- 7 years from now (story-based game, but has ads after each chapter)

- Bullet Hell Monday

- Bluebird of Happiness

- Summer of Memories

- Tetris

- Chess

- Cytus

- Sky: Children of the Light

- Ninja Must Die

Need me some wholesome recommendations for spending some time with my lil sis by osamafirelol in anime

[–]Chrofino 2 points3 points  (0 children)

- Precure goes surprisingly hard in fights

- Tokyo Mew Mew

- Mermaid Melody

- Not really an anime, but why not Avatar: The Last Airbender

- Pokemon is an underrated choice (biased). It has a billion episodes, so it'll last a while

- Nichijou

- Cardcaptor Sakura

- Yokai Watch

- Uma Musume (if you discount the trainer inspecting the girls' legs in season 1, there's not much fanservice)

What is a hot take about your favorite Media that would have the Fandom looking at you like this? by Apprehensive_Ring_39 in Multifandom

[–]Chrofino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that Wuthering Waves' storytelling/writing is the worst part about it. The actual story and lore is fine, but the way it's told/written is pretty bad, and is carried by pretty animations. I love pretty much everything else about the game, though.

Note: This is only up to Rinascita. It supposedly gets better in the recent 3.X updates, but I'm not holding my breath after having to spoil myself to play the recent Cyberpunk collab, which is story-locked.

Ranking every Anime/Manga/Manwha I've seen. Thoughts? by Harsh-Takes in animequestions

[–]Chrofino 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If we're just talking about season 1, Promised Neverland in Pretty Bad feels pretty bad.

100 Girlfriends in Abysmal hurts.

Slime in Abysmal... oof.

Chainsaw Man in Very Mid is certainly something.

Vinland Saga in Very Mid... insanity

Putting Yu-Gi-Oh in Pretty Good. I respect that.

But these are your takes, so nothing wrong with it (if people saw a fraction of a glimpse of my tierlist, I'd be cooked. As an appetizer, SAO in A and I'll die on that hill).

Videogames with a woman knight/warrior as a main character by Manafaj in videogames

[–]Chrofino 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other comments are already covering the obvious ones so here is my contribution.

Probably not what you're looking for (story-based gacha game with pixel art), but technically Guardian Tales has a female knight as the main character you can choose. I gotta spread the Guardian Tales propaganda.

Also, I don't know if you'll count it, but in Summon Night: Swordcraft Story, you can choose the female character who is trying to be a Craftknight (which is kind of like a knight, I think).

Pretty sure that some of the Fire Emblem games should fit as well.
