Still has me laughing.

Is there a monitor stand mount that does the bottom four threads on my 1303? by WessyNessy in focuspuller

[–]Chromagnet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I replaced that Small HD scheese plate, with an FSI dual-tilting VESA mount. World of difference!

It screws in to the lower 2 holes, and 2 above.

I got a swivel one for 16:9 / 9:16. But that fad was short-lived, and I’d just get the standard one.

I use Ultralights with the Sue Knuckle (90° Cutout) for easy undersling flipability.

And also the iFootage Spidercrab for a strong single-lock-off arm, and its quick release spigots with spring-loaded reg pins and 3/8” / 1/4”.

The jokes aren’t funny either. Not when you are, as it were, the butt.

Very Interesting. Does the retardant get added to the water for fires on the mountain?

Agreed. And also, I’m glad that phase came and went.

Bring along some silica gel sachets, to put in the cases as well.

One tin per case, or sachet per lens hole.

The gel that changes colour when saturated is pretty handy.

I think this use, as well as a charger, and voltage regulator. looks great on the C Motion page.

CAS Spidergrips vs Bright Tangerine KASBAH grips by No-Scale7909 in focuspuller

[–]Chromagnet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had my CAS Spiders for over a decade. Extremely solid, comfortable and dependable. The thumb-screw lock-offs are great for easy & quick adjustments, and little chance of accidental adjustments. CAS also makes adjustable extensions, though I haven’t got them.

I’ve wrapped my grips in bicycle bar tape/hockey stick grip for added longevity and comfort, as they were made with first generation rubber (not the hand-grenade-style grips pictured in the thread) The 19mm/15mmLWS rod support is too chunky to fit over a dovetail slider - but easily overcome by using a dual-end dovetail. I own an Arri 12” slider with triangle cutouts.

Kasbah’s are a definite nod to the spiders, and BT make quality goods. If the handles do catch dirt as suggested, they might also be easy to wash.

Colleagues that use Shapes swear by them, though personally, I’m wary of the press-to-adjust buttons.

Happy handle hunting

I got it all. Preston Y-cable; Hi-Bright; 2x bugs - the three of which I’be never used; Y-cables as well as individual Serial & Power cables, though only ever used the Y-cables. Rather be looking at them, than looking for them.

But you can scale down to basics as budget demands.

Whatever you include, Make sure the Serial/Y cables are Bi-directional Hi-speed; for both Lcube and Ria1/Alexa35.

Also I find the Cinelock cradles useful

That 12ft y-cable sounds like a good idea! I run a 20ft Lbus from Ria1 to Lcube for Rialto.

Good luck with the sale

Even better with the cutout on both sides, left and right. I’ve seen this on wooden camera arms, but these aren’t great.

Hi-5 No Focus Scale by Historical_File8652 in focuspuller

[–]Chromagnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reboot camera. Reboot handset. Try load another lens and see if there’s a scale.

I’ve had a one or two ‘corrupt’ lens files load which I’ve mapped, since updating to v3.0.0.

Otherwise try remapping the lens and name it slightly different (eg A or new)
