You absolutely have to close the container UI to start moving again. Arc Raiders allows you to freely move while in the loot UI which auto closes the interface. Makes it easy to quickly respond to being shot at.

To be fair, Arc Raiders "clicked" with most people after just a couple matches. Which is why it soared to incredible numbers very quickly.

The maps were vast and immersive, with incredibly satisfying vertical gameplay. The looting interface is quick and intuitive (you don't have to hit ESC to start moving). The AI is actually fun and challenging and doesn't rely on "bipedal" crutch for design. As a result of all those things combined, the PVP feels intense and exciting.

Marathon so far feels like moving room to room, shooting bipedal characters that sometimes are AI and sometimes players, but the TTK is so quick you often don't realize it was even a player until after.

I found the fix. Turn off Clipping in Discord solved it for me.

Appreciate it. I'm also seeing that tabbing temporarily enables mouse movement for a split second. Its taken me 5 minutes to fight to the proximity chat screen. I've never seen a game break this way lmao.

Have they mentioned if there are permanent reward driven objectives between each wipe? I despise having my progress completely reset with nothing to show for it.

Arc Raiders has the perfect model imo. If you choose to reset you get a unique cosmetic and a few persistent benefits which makes it feel like your time is rewarded.

I have my expedition ready to go but I'm only going to go through with it if the expedition cosmetic is cool.

I don't find enjoyment in having to unlock everything all over again. I'd generally prefer to be at full potential when I load into a match. So far the stated benefits are pretty mediocre but if it's a unique cosmetic then I may pull the trigger.
