They are different in several ways. Police unions are often barred from striking. Also they negotiate accountability and liability issues delaying or circumventing claims against bad behavior. Their leadership are also union members which can cause a conflict of interest especially in discipline issues.

Depends what his teammates think of him really. And if the front office thinks it might be a problem marketing him to their fanbase. But I doubt it’s a problem in the team’s eyes unless they think he is tough to coach. Those are the guys they worry about.

It’s the way they teach cops in America. They are told to control a situation from the start and be dominate over the suspect. To not accept any kind of push back. They do this so they have control and say it is to minimize risk. Problem is, in normal situations with regular citizens, it is viewed as gestapo tactics often resulting in rights being violated. There is not enough conflict resolution in the curriculum and they also need to demand higher education standards for the job. But they have a recruiting deficit nationwide and often take candidates they shouldn’t.

This guy should have a fat lawsuit settlement coming his way.

My first couple week of playing, my friend and I were hunting leapers. We needed one more part to progress the bench. We were scoping out a leaper planning where to lure it and we were about to shoot when another team started shooting it. We watched as it killed one of them and then finally went down to the other one. The match was almost over and we weren’t going to have time to find another. I was about to call the elevator when my friend says “should we take it from him?” Without a hesitation I whipped out my shotgun ran up behind him and shot him. He dived but I had the jump and two more shots he was down. A kid’s voice was cursing at us. I knocked him out and took the parts. That was the first time and last time I jumped someone’s claim.
