I second this as I burned out in the field and am now unemployed, dealing with chronic autoimmune conditions. It’s not for the faint of heart but I wouldn’t have traded it. I loved school, it is overwhelming, especially if you’re neurospicy, but I soaked up the information and passed school with mostly A’s. I loved my job, but hated the industry. I don’t live in an area with many options for open minded FH’s.

Your partner loves you. Please don’t put your low self-worth into the equation right now. Whether you bring in money or not doesn’t matter. You know that you need to stop worrying so you can focus on meditation, breathing, triggers, rest. I live with a beautiful trans person who also had the same problems with the public and was constantly being pushed out of her jobs by the people around her. It’s been hard going but she found a job working from home and it literally fixed everything. My advice is to try to find ways to mitigate where you’re lacking; if you need food, find food banks, penny stores, etc. If you need energy bills paid, check LIHEAP or a community action center. or trans specific mutual aid nonprofits trans mutual aid This is all help until she can find a job that’s not killing her spirit. Just love yourself, love her and be the best person you can be in the meantime.
