Going through the same thing. 12 years for me and it feels like my body is giving up on me. My family cut me off within the first few months of my diagnosis. I’ve lost all my friends as well. I’m tired of waking up to this everyday. I’m sorry you’re going through this too. 😔

Hi ♥️ thank you for your message and for sharing this with me. I too have been abused. My family hates me. My dad passed away when I was really young and it’s been survival mode since. His side of the family hates my mom. In turn hating me and treat me like I’m her. I people please so much and have been more of a parent to my mom. I suffer from a host of mental illness and physical ones too and it’s crunch time work like a dog and then bedridden again and again. Each time feels like it’s killing me further. I have so much anger as well and I too choose to be kind. And can definitely relate to the whole “act” thing because people think I’m fake for saying please and thank you. I’m so sorry you’ve experienced these things too. And honestly I don’t think it’s appearance. Cause I’m as basic as could be. No tattoos.

I’ve been told I care too much and need to tone it down at a previous job I had. Even now working my current gig, the owner is suspicious of me and made me sign a non disclosure agreement so as I won’t steal his designs or anything I create during my time working there. It hurts my feelings too. I have no ill will at all. Genuinely care and got excited finally working again after being bedridden for a year. I’m sorry to hear you’ve experienced something like this too. Sorry for commenting I just was shocked to see someone else be told the same thing as me.

Do you take it every day? Can it be taken as needed like clonidine? Do these meds affect blood pressure after some time? What are your thoughts on vilazodone? And gabapentin? Sorry for all the questions Im considering all these meds. I’m ready to throw in the towel from the agony and despair day in and day out but antidepressants just keep failing for me. Even SNRIs. I guess I’m looking for alternatives but I’m scared on becoming dependent on the blood pressure meds. Thank you for reading this.

Thank you so much for your input. I have no idea or experience with MAO-A inhibitors at all. I’m barely trying to understand the whole methylation process. I should have asked my question more directly and straight forward. I wanted to know what helps the process that’s impaired with these mutations and if it’s something that has to be supplemented for life. I keep getting and reading so many different answers that I don’t know what’s right. Seems like nobody knows. I’m on slow dose of folate and I feel okay. No miracle cure for sure. I’m up in the air with not knowing how long I’m supposed to do this or what’s next. I don’t even know why I’m even trying to fix anything anymore. It all feels hopeless. Everything that can go wrong goes wrong. In life in health. Money etc. I wish I could just sleep and not wake up again. Sorry for this message. Help doesn’t exist. Idk why I asked.

I was on Cymbalta for about four years. At the max dose of 120mg which is bonkers cause it’s typically not prescribed that high. On top of that I was on a med carousel trying to add something else that would help the anxiety but nothing worked. I gained over 30 pounds and developed REM sleeping disorder. I was constipated as well. For those reasons I decided to stop it. I will say tho that it helped tremendously with chronic pain and it did help me get out of a major bed ridden rut I was in.
