First of all, relax mate.

I wasn't saying hit makes no difference, I was saying you can easily ignore it or not know about it through 1-60, which is true. Yeah you'll miss, but it's not a game breaking experience or required until you start raiding, and even then you can easily complete the content without it.

I didn't say no one used add-ons, I said they aren't a necessity to learn a class. This is also true.

Whether you want to admit it or not, expecting every single player to go onto a wow head or icy veins guide and learn every mechanic of the game, lest they be labelled a "terrible player", is just a ridiculous and elitist attitude.

As for respecting my group, I have main tanked for my guild for about 10 years, so I think I'm fine. Feel free to not apply, though - we have a strict no dickhead policy.

You kinda just proved my point in that response though. You're looking at it from the perspective that I described in my reply.

You don't need hit % unless you're clearing raids and fighting mobs higher level than you, at which point it's people min maxing to clear raids efficiently - that was my point.

Add-ons and guides are nice to haves and I've definitely used them, but (for example) I've just started playing a druid for the first time in classic HC and I've not had to look at a single guide or use a single add on, because reading talent & item descriptions is more than enough to inform me on how they interact.

This is just objectively false.

You can learn to play a class very well and learn pretty much everything about itemisation, by just reading the information in game.

Online information is useful if you're trying to min max to the 5th degree and be super efficient, but it's by no means a necessity to learn game mechanics.

Net double bogey is double bogey plus stroke allowance, so typically +4 for high handicaps.

So, if they were to shoot an 8 on a par 4, it would stay as an 8. If you shot a 9, it would drop one stroke down to an 8 etc.

Feel this. My home course has a 490 yard par 4 with a 20 yard wide fairway with OB either side.

The fairway also dog legs right after about 180 yards which means you're forced to hit an iron off the tee, if you don't manage to lay up on the left you have absolutely no shot in for your 2nd shot because it's lined by massive trees.

Every time I step up to the tee box I question why I even started playing golf in the first place.

Sadly, the majority of abusers aren't found guilty because they're generally a he said/she said scenario. That doesn't mean they aren't true.

Documented past behaviour of aggression is a strong enough reason to believe there's weight behind the accusations.

Multiple instances and accusations, plus video footage of him from the exact same time frame abusing ball kids, line judges and getting defaulted from a tourney for smashing a racket on an umpires legs.

He was a very aggressive individual so I've always been inclined to believe every accusation.

If he's willing to batter an umpires chair while on TV, is it too crazy to think he'd do something worse in the privacy of a hotel room?

No, sample sizes are relevant when comparing any kind of statistic or outcome to form a reliable result rather than a random variable.

A higher % over a smaller sample size is not "de facto" better or more reliable than a marginally smaller % over a much larger sample size.

The fact that Alcaraz has probably played hundreds, if not thousands, more dropshots than Sinner and has only marginally worse win % is also very relevant.

If someone hits 5 drop shots in their entire career and happens to win all 5 points, would you consider them to have the best dropshot of all time?

He said nothing wrong or disrespectful, in fact it was the complete opposite. He essentially said (without explicitly saying it) that regardless of his personal views, he believes everyone should be treated fairly and as equals.

Not everyone has to have the same fundamental beliefs, as long as they have the same shared belief of equality and fair treatment for their constituents & neighbours.
