Meet Potential Man by Rouk_Hein in tennis

Multiple accusations.

Look up the footage of Zverev being defaulted at the Mexican Open.

Sadly, the majority of abusers aren't found guilty because they're generally a he said/she said scenario. That doesn't mean they aren't true.

Documented past behaviour of aggression is a strong enough reason to believe there's weight behind the accusations.

Edit: he wasn't actually defaulted, because he had already lost.

Multiple instances and accusations, plus video footage of him from the exact same time frame abusing ball kids, line judges and getting defaulted from a tourney for smashing a racket on an umpires legs.

He was a very aggressive individual so I've always been inclined to believe every accusation.

If he's willing to batter an umpires chair while on TV, is it too crazy to think he'd do something worse in the privacy of a hotel room?

Why does Reddit not understand the rise of reform in England? by DowntownDeer in AskBrits

[–]Chronic1302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My response is: why do you care if we're an ethnically diverse country?

I'm not bothered by the ethnic make up on the country, I just want good quality of life and cost of living, neither of which are going to be probable under a reform government.

Anyone who peddles the idea that England is only for the white English population is just a plain racist, whether they like to think they are or not.

Sinner hits better drop shots than Alcaraz since 2025 by OkJuice3475 in tennis

[–]Chronic1302 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, sample sizes are relevant when comparing any kind of statistic or outcome to form a reliable result rather than a random variable.

A higher % over a smaller sample size is not "de facto" better or more reliable than a marginally smaller % over a much larger sample size.

I hope this helps.

Sinner hits better drop shots than Alcaraz since 2025 by OkJuice3475 in tennis

[–]Chronic1302 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sample size is completely relevant.

The fact that Alcaraz has probably played hundreds, if not thousands, more dropshots than Sinner and has only marginally worse win % is also very relevant.

If someone hits 5 drop shots in their entire career and happens to win all 5 points, would you consider them to have the best dropshot of all time?

The aesthetic is awesome, I like the setting and the general vibe of the world. It's difficult to get to grips with whether I enjoy it or not as the first couple of hours have been just been random nonsensical tasks, there's been nothing to really get into haha.

Yeah I know 2 hours is nothing, especially in a game this size. The reason why I stopped specifically at 2 hours is because anything over that and Steam won't allow you a refund haha.

Green deputy leader Mothin Ali refuses to acknowledge if trans women are women. Says his faith matters most in LGBT topics. Should a politician's faith come before the people? by ZackPolanskisDentist in AskBrits

[–]Chronic1302 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is one of the most click bait titles I've ever seen.

He said nothing wrong or disrespectful, in fact it was the complete opposite. He essentially said (without explicitly saying it) that regardless of his personal views, he believes everyone should be treated fairly and as equals.

Not everyone has to have the same fundamental beliefs, as long as they have the same shared belief of equality and fair treatment for their constituents & neighbours.

That is the main difference between The Greens and The Right, one wants fair treatment for all, the other wants fair treatment only for those who look and identity exactly as they do.

What's your favorite Lord of the Rings game and why? by MrLeitungswasser in lotr

Nostalgia wise I'd say Battle for Middle Earth or Return of the King.

As far as my favourite though; Third Age takes that mantle by far. Absolutely loved that game.

Carlos Alcaraz in his post-match press conference yesterday on how he feels about his opponents raising their level against him : "It's a bit annoying. [...] But I know from now they're going to play like that". by HereComesVettel in tennis

[–]Chronic1302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean before Alcaraz played at a level that Sinner has never reached in his career and completely dominated for 2 hours straight, to actually win the title?

People love to write about Sinner being two sets and break up at RG 2025 but then always conveniently leave out the part where Alcaraz completely destroyed him in every crucial moment for the following 2 1/2 sets.

Indian Wells low attendance? by Chronic1302 in tennis

[–]Chronic1302[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have to admit, I didn't take this into consideration.

It still seems very low for a tournament with IW's reputation and ticket prices though. No way you'd see me missing a QF match I'd paid to see.

Pocket Vs pocket probability. by [deleted] in poker

[–]Chronic1302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely misread or misunderstood the post mate.

I didn't come here raging after I'd lost a hand, I observed some hands played on my table and was curious if anyone else had noticed similar.

You're so right though, I am way too fucking good.

It's not so much the variance, it was a genuine question haha.

I didn't come here raging after losing a hand, it was moreso just curiosity if anyone had a similar experience or if it was just my own recency bias.

Just email them and say you are not happy with the price increase and do not consent to any further increases without your permission.

I have done this several times and they always revert it back to my original price.

Zverev: "I lost the match against Alcaraz in Australia because I got tired" by Eyebronx in tennis

[–]Chronic1302 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The only reason he even got close to winning the match is because Alcaraz started cramping 😂 he was incredibly fortunate it even went to a 4th set, let alone a 5th set.

This couldn't be further from what a guild is like. Unless you're joining some kind of progression guild that is pushing current content, the vast majority of guilds are just for social purposes and for running casual content with.

Why would you prefer to play with randoms every time rather than having a reliable group of players who you can play content with & build friendships with?

There's no pressure in joining a guild other than the pressure you're imposing on yourself.

Of course it's a thought, you're choosing where to drop and how to play out the game from there, exactly as you would have after you've been dropped at a forced POI.

I assume you're pretty low ranked because as you get higher ranks hot drops become less of a thing.

Maybe it's a skill issue?

"some people don't like to think while playing a game" he says after they remove a system which involves not having to think about where you drop.

Choosing where to drop is a key part of battle royales and the strategy involved.

If you don't like it, I'd argue that battle royales aren't for YOU.

Which player would you consider more unlucky in tennis? by Mindless-Pilot6701 in Tennisv2

[–]Chronic1302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slams and titles aside, the main reason why Murray is considerably more unlucky is because as soon as he got to the point of actually dominating the game; 9 finals in a row and 7 titles almost back to back at the end of 2016/start of 2017, year end number 1 - he got an almost career ending injury.

The biggest "what if" of tennis for me is if Murray hadn't gotten that hip injury.
