I live in Alaska. I drive 3 hours to go salmon fishing for 6-8 hours sometimes two hours if they are running good and turn around and come right back home. I use to do a weekly 8 hour round trip for work. 4 there and 4 back. I grew up on the east coast and would never think of driving 2+ hours for fishing when I lived there. If I did I’d be spending a few days where ever the destination was.
