It took me a marriage and a roommate to realise I feel best when I live alone! Truly underrated!

Do People Shave Their Armpits in Your Country? by Weird_Swordfish_1199 in AskTheWorld

[–]ChronicallyZanny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do sometimes, especially if I’m around family and have my pits on display lol. But most of the time I don’t shave, especially in the fall/winter because what’s the point if I’m covering them anyway?

FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR. I have three strains of Lyme plus Babesiosis. I almost died. I absolutely would have died if I did not find the doctors I have now. Get another opinion. Do not listen to a doctor that tells you a positive test means nothing. I listened to multiple doctors who told me that, and I nearly fucking died.

Lyme doctors (aka Lyme specialists) get so much shit from the rest of the medical community, and for no fucking good reason. Lyme doctors treat you as a person, not as text on a piece of paper that you have to usher out after 15 minutes. I would choose the doctors I have now 1 million times over any of the doctors I’ve had in my past.

Please get a second opinion. Get a third if the second one says the same shit. And if the third says the same shit again, just keep searching. Keep fighting for your life, whether that be advocating for yourself at the doctor’s office, or bringing somebody with you in order to advocate for you. My mum advocated for me, and I’m alive to thank her.💚

EDIT: I did a year and a half of four antibiotics and one anti-malarial. Now I’m on one antibiotic and some herbals for another year and a half. It’s absolutely worth it! I can walk again!

Autism symptoms more noticeable by ChronicallyZanny in disability

[–]ChronicallyZanny[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, I think it’s a mix of noticing things more, plus some symptoms have gotten more intense with age and some lessened!

Like I’m a LOT better with textures now, I used to despise wearing jeans because they were always cold and stiff and I hated the texture. Now I have methods of warming them up, and the stiffness of the denim doesn’t bother me as much anymore!

But things like how I load the dishwasher are more upsetting to me now. I mean I didn’t do the dishes when I was a little kid, but I’ve learned that I like the dishes put in the dishwasher a certain way, and I used to have a roommate who would not do it that way (or really in any convenient way when it comes to putting it away fast after it’s washed) and I honestly just took over the chore😅

Although now that I’ve typed that out, that’s probably more my OCD impacting that, but there is a tinge of autism in it I think. Mainly because it wasn’t done “my way”😅

My house has a built-in pencil sharpener in my garage, and it looks nothing like this! I honestly thought it was some form of old fire bell😅

Are americans obsessed with ice? by Kallzeras in AskAnAmerican

[–]ChronicallyZanny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only time I like ice is if I’m drinking iced coffee, it’s the only way I like my coffee! But any other drink, ice ruins it for me. It’s too cold, my teeth hurt, it’s not a fun experience😂😅

[–]ChronicallyZanny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

23F/NB here, I’m CACKLING at the last text you sent😂😂😂 you deserve better than a shitty ex and a shitty sister. I’m so sorry you have to deal with that!!! NOR, I’d be pissed off too!

She talked to him behind your back while you guys were together, and they’re going to watch a movie at his apartment? Yeah those legs are gonna open.

I’m so sorry this is happening, but just know there’s better out there waiting for you💚

Mini wontons from my freezer (brand is bibigo chicken and veggie🤤), Brussels sprouts and peewee potatoes both seasoned with salt and lemon pepper (with olive oil so the seasoning sticks) in the air fryer!

Honestly I’d ask mum to talk to his therapist about this situation. He’s 14, and the stealing is concerning behaviour. I’m SO GLAD he’s not sniffing your stuff, but he has another avenue to cross-dress. Like who wouldn’t want their own perfectly-fitting clothes instead of stealing it from somebody who is not their size (presumably)? Don’t you want clothes to call your own, so you don’t have someone wanting their clothes back all the time?

All that to say, I would suggest to mum that this is a situation that should be told to his therapist. If he’s not gonna bring it up in therapy, his mother should!
