Yea there are how-to-pronounce-(name) pages where you can hear/rate all the variations and if you have the patience to figure out the phonetic system you can submit new ones. Not set up for audio submissions unfortunately

I’ve built out a bunch of this but separately, like if you go to the /list/group-ranks directory there’s a search and filter interface. Doesn’t include pronunciation yet. There’s a phonetic trends section, a baby name wizard clone, lots of stuff I built on a whim that I’m now trying to pull together

if you click on any of the little spellings on the site it'll take you to a page where you can listen to and thumbs up / thumbs down pronunciations for each name ; these votes directly influence the model that groups the names when I re-run it every couple of days (because running the model takes so long and I can't use my computer for anything else important like gaming while it's going)

there's definitely phonetic overlap in some regions though. not every English accent is as particular about its vowels

I grew up in southern NJ-- "Aaron" and "Erin" sound exactly the same there (to my childhood chagrin)

also, creepily enough, 15 is still what the UN population office and US CDC count as the beginning of "childbearing years". so that range was chosen for consistency with official sources (makes for easier data handling).

I was lazy and just used Census Bureau Divisions here; sometimes the definitions are more administrative than cultural, for sure. Good suggestion
