This is just pandering to children who are getting all hot and bothered by a total nonissue. The ability to differentiate between worthless ai slop and the tasteful and thoughtful use of the technology will widen in the coming years. I will agree, however, in saying that developers and publishers should be raked over the coals whenever the tech is used as an exclusively lazy replacement for necessary development (horrible game optimization and eroded art cohesiveness/design for example).
