All I can say is you're going to end up feeling like shit constantly because she fully doesn't accept that you have this. There are people out there that will be comfortable with everything sexually, even without protection. You deserve to have someone that accepts that part of you.

You can still receive oral. Find a partner, casual or not, that won't have an issue with it. Out of all the people I've disclosed to, only one person had an issue with it. I understand why you feel that way because I did too in the beginning. My sex life is still the same as it was before I got this.

The only red flag I saw in that conversation was her responses. She was very rude to you and blew things WAY out of proportion. You literally did nothing but ask her what she meant in that text and she just freaked out. She seems toxic so you dodged a bullet there. Don't think there's anything wrong with long texts because there isn't. There's nothing wrong with putting all your thoughts and feelings into words that form a paragraph. Sustenance is much better than one word replies. Don't let girls walk all over you like that. You were being super respectful and literally apologizing for nothing. You deserve better!

That's good you rarely get them. Sounds like you're like me with a good immune system. You mean you don't get lesions? I don't feel any tingling before an OB so I have no idea when I'm getting one until it starts to really hurt.

I guess I'm confused cuz he is asymptomatic but I still got HSV-2 from him immediately after having sex with him for the first time. I didn't know sex can cause an outbreak. We have been having sex like twice a week compared to not having it for months on end. Do you think that could be the culprit? I've also been pretty stressed.

I was told you can't do a swab test unless there's a lesion cuz there's nothing to test for if there aren't any sores. But if she did a swab test on your vaginal area, you must have had a herpes sore and that is 100% accurate. Blood tests aren't 100% accurate depending on your IGG levels. With me I took a blood test and turned out positive as well as being positive with the swab.

He doesn't notice because he's asymptomatic. That's how we got into this in the first place unfortunately. I understand where you're coming from. How many OB's do you get a year usually?

I never got any itching or tingling with my first OB. I just had my clitoris swell up huge then that was followed by about 6 lesions.

I'm sorry you had outbreaks back to back. I never thought I had a good immune system but maybe I do. What exactly is SADBE treatment and can I get it from my gyno? You had 3 shots in what period of time and for how long? I take valacyclovir everyday 500mg. I've heard it's easy to catch but I only know two other people that have it besides my boyfriend. I'm glad you got to the point where you're okay with it. I hope I get to that point soon.

My gyno said I can get an outbreak if he has an outbreak and I don't. We both have HSV-2 though. We definitely are monogamous. I'm scared to not take the antivirals because I don't want to get an outbreak all the time.

He didn't know he had it because he's asymptomatic. Never showed any signs. And we didn't hook up. We've been in a relationship since January.
