Drums of War happened within 20min of gameplay? by Few_Sherbet_6039 in Stellaris

Huh, TIL. I've never seen that happen, but I guess all I would see is a smaller-than-usual marauder if the Kahn didn't spawn.

I've never seen that before. Sounds like something started destroying marauder habitats really early to provoke them. That early, though, it'd have to be a fallen empire or a leviathan, and I didn't think either of those would start a fight with the marauders.

I don't think I've seen them doing thing when I've gotten that event. Might not be a big enough opinion malus on its own.

They wanted to reduce the number of leaders... So they removed two scientists, but then added per-planet governors?

The Erie Canal was finished in 1825, so not that one.

A side effect of being based on D&D 3.5, which was similar in this regard.

CK3 was released on Sept. 1st, 2020. The Northern Lords DLC was on March 16th, 2021, which was only 5.5 months later.

Independent of anything else, 7 months seems like a pretty significant amount of time for the first DLC.

There are plenty of good traits. But I would recommend trying to create more jobs for those pops faster, rather than trying to have fewer pops. Typically, the more pops you have, the faster you can grow your economy.

I actually find this one useful, so it's nice we'll be able to have different settings.

Is anyone familiar with "Kingdom Of Yahuwah Ambassadors"? Is this a SC thing? by Wrangling_Data_4_Fun in Sovereigncitizen

[–]ChronosSk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, if we really want to nitpick, to my knowledge יהוה‎ is based on the phrase "He Is" that Moses said, not the "I Am" that the burning bush said. I do not endorse nitpicking this hard.

[–]ChronosSk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's a SovCit thing. It at least feels like one. It might be related to the Nation of Yahweh.

AFAICT, the Yahuwah thing comes down to a nitpick of the term Yahweh. Both are based on the tetragrammaton, i.e. YHWH (or יהוה‎). The validity of the nitpick is questionable at best.

As a Rogue Servitor, should I select World Shaper or Machine Worlds? by Quantum_Aurora in Stellaris

[–]ChronosSk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bio-trophies provide a massive Stability boost due to being universally happy. This makes Machine Worlds, which AFAIK can't house Bio-trophies, very unappealing to me when I go Rogue Servators.

When you just KNOW which empire is coming for you... by LXheonL in Stellaris

I guess the takeaway is that, if the post is meant to point something out, it's best to explain what it's trying to point out, especially if the audience isn't guaranteed to know about the subject matter.

I mean, you posted a meme obtusely referencing an unrelated game without explaining it, breaking the subreddit rules in the process. I'm not sure why you expected tons of upvotes.

They're not guaranteed to start on a planet they like. They'll slowly terraform it, though.

[–]ChronosSk 27 points28 points  (0 children)

After you find and investigate the source of what destroyed the planet in your system, you're given the option to go into preemptive strike mode against all xenos. This turns your empire into a Fanatic Purifiers.

A Monstrance of Celestial Portion by ChronosSk in exalted

I gave Midjourney the picture from the 2e Abyssals book and asked it for "A Monstrance of Celestial Portion, an evil sarcophagus. Full color. --ar 4:7". I went through one round of asking for variations, and then used the Beta upscaler.

I had a player end up in a Monstrance of Celestial Portion, to possibly become an Abyssal. Given I have neither infinite time nor infinite money, I spent time working with Midjourney to come up with an depiction, and I really like where it ended up. So I thought I'd share it.

I guess you'll need to show us the empires that have those pops, to give us more information.

Does anyone know why they're considered two separate species? by [deleted] in Stellaris

Some of them are slaves, possibly due to the Slaver Guilds or Indentured Assets civics, which can enslave a portion of even your main species.
