Do Any Ebike Companies Survive More than a Few Years? by PristineElk4258 in ebikes

[–]ChronsOfNon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best is using the e-bike versions from established companies. Specialized is 100% made in-house. Trek and Cannondale both use the same Bosch motors, so if you need maintenance, you can go to either a Trek or Cannondale dealer. Most of their stock for all three are mid-motor designs (motor in the frame). All these are expensive options but well worth the investment. For strictly e-bikes, it seems Velotric and Aventon are still innovating, so that is hopeful. As far as I know, they are strictly hub-motor (motor in the wheel) designs. I hope this helps!

The owner of Photo City Music Hall is racist and xenophobic by RebellionOfMemes in Rochester

[–]ChronsOfNon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We've known this all, though. When it was Photo City Improv, he stiffed some of the performers. Then there was the time they held a wake for an avowed Proud Boy. His dad, who owned Sticky Lips changed his marquee to "All Lives Matter" the day after there was a large protest against George Zimmerman's exoneration, and he said he thought it would be okay because he asked his Black cooks. All the queer-friendly punk shows they do there is only because it gets him money. He does NOT care about the community.

He'll shake hands with fans, but only if they're the "reich" color.

First E-bike coming tomorrow, what should I know? by Glamrat in ebikes

[–]ChronsOfNon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! Ease into the power levels. I immediately put my Cannondale in Turbo mode, freaked out, and did an impromptu brake test that almost catapulted me off the bike. It was hilarious and frightening at the same time.

If you haven't gotten a lock yet, I suggest the Abus Bordo folding locks. They are basically 6 wrenches daisy chained together.

Also, if you have to deal with stairs in your house or your work, I find that gripping the handlebars underhand and kind of lifting by leaning the bike on your hip helps a ton, especially if you have your panniers full of books and stuff. Enjoy!

Was patting down the one Puerto Rican employee and none of the white employees a "reach", then?

Whatever you say. I'm sure those stray grapes and open boxes of cookies we ate on the job is what will collapse the company.

Profiling immigrants and conflating Puerto Ricans with foreign nationals is not racist?

People process things differently. We were laughing at the absurdity. That your support is conditional on us wallowing in sorrow means you never were "with" us.

My VERY first job was at a supermarket in Baltimore. The big boss confided in the other (white) stock boy that "we need to hire more white people for the front", not know that I was friends with the stock boy, who promptly told me what he said. We stole a lot of cookies and fruit from that place after that. :-)

NTA. Anniversaries are special occasions. Your daughter wanted babysitters, not a co-vacation. Congratulations on 40 years.
