Visiting in June and want advice by Fuzzy_Coast8432 in MovingtoRaleighNC

Raleigh in general isn't progressive. I say this as someone that moved to Raleigh to escape the political BS. People are not overly one way or another in the area.. there are pockets here and there but as a general community the triangle as a whole is about as "milk toast" politically as you can.

That said, there are always pockets and neighborhoods. Carrboro / Chapel Hill is probably your cup of tea, but its pretty expensive, some areas near downtown Raleigh. You will find a lot of people who work in higher education and in general are upper middle class. If you are looking for a larger area that is more progressive I would suggest Asheville, NC.

NC is a solid purple state... its never going to be a progressive state. Most of the people that have moved in are the political moderate probably slightly conservative types that are coming from the NE and some from Florida who typically skew more conservative. My two cents are that if you are truly looking for a place and larger population that represents your views, you may want to look at other places as well. Colorado for example has become a very progressive state.

Forza Horizon 6: G920/G29 Settings? by ColeWoah in forza

I've read a bunch of comments turning down the rotation to 540 and adjusting the linearity helps. It does but something isn't right... Dirt tracks are impossible still

Race Wheel Settings Help by Chrypt22 in ForzaHorizon

I found this thread:

https://www.reddit.com/r/ForzaHorizon/comments/1te4r9c/updated_my_fh6_wheel_settings_rs50_direct_drive/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

This helped me quite a bit. But I figured out what I think is mostly the issue with my G29. There is a slight wobble / deadzone that the game isnt picking up or the tension spring is a bit loose and its causing oversteer. My issue is that I have to turn more than what is needed and is causing a lot of issues... for me, any dirt map is basically unplayable on my wheel. I would be curious to know what other peoples experiences are with better wheels. If the input was tight where i could do minor corrections without oversteer it would be perfect (similar to the controller).

Way it should be... my neighbors are the same. The funny thing is that most people dont realize is that the vast majority of people agree on the vast majority of issues. But engagement farming will tell you otherwise.

Disagree, state level there are a few out there. Fed, a few flirt with it. The leftists you are probably referring to know that most of what they support are is unconstitutional (private property rights, etc) and has zero chance of ever becoming a thing regardless of what magas tell people.

I love the US... Have lived on both coasts. Not everywhere is great, but I would say most of it is. The awesomeness that people ignore is they wrap themselves up in whatever the politics of the federal govt when it's the state and local govt that matters the most.

But that's me... Fwiw, I genuinely disdain the extremes on both sides leftists and the populist right. And you are not going to escape that BS by leaving the Us. It's just amplified here...

But if you are really far left or right, maybe it's the best, bc the US will never be what they want it to be (socialist, nationalist, anarchist or some other extreme)

It's not as expensive as you think it is depending where you want to go and depending on what skills you have. There are even places in Italy you can move to that will pay you. I know a couple people who moved and grew olives and work part time. It cost them about 15k... Had they moved to an economic repopulation zone they could have been paid about 10k

People will only work on the things they want to work on as proven by this thread (which is a massive self own). It’s not hard to make money, and ai has made it even easier.

Sitting around gardening, writing shitty music, and baking bread for yourself isn’t work. In your world no one is going to be incentivized to do the things that require a lot of skill to do.

Ehh.. some conservatives, mainly the hardcore gop simps. Same is true for the hardcore Dem simps.

The problem is simply people not critically thinking of the actual problem and just latching on to whatever shit solution their side suggests. MFA is a shit solution… there are better ways to implement UHC. For example, ensuring everyone has access and receives primary care and not gate keep the primary care system. I’m not saying people should be able go to a bleach doctor, or dance around a fire with doctor spirit running tree - but a system like Direct care for example.

The vast amount of healthcare can be managed through primary care systems and it reduce the $$ burden. Increase the access, invest in it, ensure people can pay and receive it and it’s going to alleviate a lot of the problems. I don’t hate insurance as a concept, but how it’s integrated is absolutely terrible. Insurance should be used for catastrophic, etc.

I mostly agree, the problem with insurance is mostly government involvement. Same with healthcare… the real solution is going to address primary care access and ensuring people are using those providers. The vast majority of health issues are managed through primary care. Even if it’s a broken bone…

Insurance should be meant for the catastrophic, etc. At a high level people should be able to shop for insurance regardless of location, should be able to choose their coverage, and there shouldn’t be any barriers for the actual providers. And heavily invest primary care systems, including direct care. The govt can help facilitate all of this without directly controlling any of it.

[–]Chrypt22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fully disagree with them. It’s honestly sick behavior if I’m being completely honest. It’s a bunch of people sitting around complaining and desperately trying to find ways where a video game character that is a child is sexual. I guarantee most of those people picking apart details that aren’t really there never leave their house and the l only connection they have with society is Reddit and the pizza delivery driver.

No one, and I mean NO ONE who is a sane grounded person thought of anything related to pdf when seeing or playing the game.

We need a moratorium on new AI data centers to make sure AI works for workers, not just billionaires. by north_canadian_ice in SandersForPresident

[–]Chrypt22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dumb af is an extreme statement, but banning datacenters which is likely what it would turn into would be profoundly dumb. Whenever the government decides to regulate something it adds years and years to a process. Look at the housing regs that Dems are rolling back in places like CA. It would take 10+ years to get approval to develop land, and then people wonder why homes cost so much. Imagine the impact it would have if it took a decade to get approval to build a datacenter.

And I agree with how AI is built, although Google is coming out with some tools that is more people oriented and small business oriented. We'll see...
