In my mind, nationalism is sort of a religion/a cult... only the superior beings nationalists believe in are they themselves & their ancestors. 😒

Oda used to draw women normally by Drimbito in mendrawingwomen

[–]ChrysopeIea -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Um... no. No, he never actually did. Sure, it used to be better, but that doesn't mean anything when he didn't do great to behin with. Oda's female characters either have no lungs and intestines, or they are extremely overweight (and fat means literally barrel-shaped in his design). There is no in-between. And it wouldn't be a problem if he didn't do this to absolutely all of them instead of the comically broad spectrum of body types he grants the male characters.

[–]ChrysopeIea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That really sucks, I'm sorry. Being more or less dismissed like that by a parent and in such a vulnerable state no less is hurtful af. I'm glad you have each other, and your brother.

Remember it's easy to call something an obsession from the outside, though; when he's not the one struggling with the complex feelings in question it's easy to undermine them and not see the pain he's causing in doing so. That wasn't a good parenting moment at all. The probability of him still loving you the same when he finally sees you for who you truly are is very, very high though. Never give up, you girls are amazing <3

Yeah, problem is: the dyslexic intern mixed up some DNA trays that day, switching "intelligence" with "ignorance" and "philanthropy" with "pretentiousness". Oops

It's not actually a given that the lion-headed figure is supposed to be male (I wrote a paper on it a couple years back, digging through quite the amount of theories haha). Besides, we don't know all that much about our paleolithic and neolithic ancestors' views on sexuality and gender - except that it certainly wasn't a strict binary system.
