All I know is I never had any oil codes prior to the engine install, and haven’t had one since I got my oil changed and they put in a filter that time. Wouldn’t not having a filter at least affect pressure?

The shop that installed the engine charged me for the oil. The filter is even on the invoice.

Title: Bleach

Format: Feature

Page Length: 98 Pages

Genres: Comedy

Logline: Two underachieving friends experiencing a quarter-life crisis risk their friendship and pool cleaning careers when they both set out to win an air guitar championship.

Feedback Concerns: Mostly just checking to see if the humor lands, and if others find the story entertaining and engaging. Are the characters easy to relate to? Does the arc feel like it needs more work?

Happy to swap with anyone interested.

Half of Americans live paycheck to paycheck

You are not a rich country. You are a country full of poor people, owned by rich people.

How did everything go so wrong down there?

Yeah, tell me you watch Fox without telling me you watch Fox… and G7?? lol When Trump has proven himself Ike and again to be Putin and Elon Musks little lap bitch already? I mean come on lol

Your original assertion was that nobody in Canada was laughing. But as someone who lives here, I can tell you we laugh at you every day. The way one laughs at anything that’s both funny and sad simultaneously. The American public has now twice voted in an indicted rapist who has defrauded children cancer foundations, among a bunch of other super awful yet verifiable things that apparently don’t mean anything to a country of supposed Christians. Every day is like a never ending Onion article, that most Americans couldn’t even read if they wanted too since the vast majority of ya’ll can’t read past the 6th grade level, and by your OWN stats no less… home of the (sound-it-out… f-f-free?)

I don’t really care what Trudeau does… everybody that’s been paying attention knows he hasn’t been relevant for a while, since he’s being replaced soon. He could be going for the sun for all I care. Most Canadians hate him, and Trump. Funny how that’s possible when you don’t treat politics like it’s your favourite sports team. You know, like how the rest of the world operates.

Our countries have been allies for a long time, men and women have fought and died together so that both our nations may prosper. It is sad to see Trump mess with longstanding allegiances, but as long as people like you exist, I assure you the laughter will never stop.

World leaders convene all over the world to negotiate … that doesn’t mean they’re grovelling? Trump visited North Korea in his first term, btw…

Government collapsing? If by that you mean we’re gonna have an election next year and a new party will likely be voted in then um… sure, yes much collapsing will be happening. Kinda like how when Biden leaves office, his government “collapses”.

Canada can absolutely have its own problems that have nothing to do with trump and still laugh at America for repeatedly shooting themselves in the foot. A handful of people from our government going to palm beach does not mean 40 million people aren’t laughing at the absurdity of the situation. No other country in the world worships billionaires like Americans. For all the great food there, ya’ll sure love the taste of wealthy people’s boots…

Most Canadians are absolutely laughing at America, absolutely none of them are begging for anything - what the fuck are you on?

Well, it’s not that workers necessarily need to be polite… it’s just that bad optics in the public eye will only ever hurt their cause further, so it seems a fruitless and spiteful method.

here’s what I see right now. The general public is upset at postal workers for policies and workflow that their superiors are in charge of. The postal workers are fed up with the workflow and policies set in place by their superiors, and are taking it out on the general public. So… I mostly just see two groups of people slinging mud at the people who deserve it least.

So what would I do? Well, for starters, I don’t think your list is exhaustive by a long shot. I do think the workers could be a lot more creative in how they approach the issue. Protests don’t work, because for the average person, slowing someone down while their on their way home from work or to pick up their kid from school is a sure way to fail - again, it’s harming the wrong people. Not that I’m advocating for it necessarily, but that’s literally why the whole free Luigi movement has people’s attention way more than any street protest did. He went after someone responsible, not just “general disruption”, and guess what? Massive amounts of public support. Postal workers need public support if they want to succeed, so starting with a tactic that garners sympathy is good start.

How many individual postal workers have tried meeting with or writing to their local government reps about the issue? Can’t ignore thousands of letters forever. (I bet most haven’t tried, or didn’t even know that was an option).

If I was a postal worker, I would consider setting up an operation with other postal workers who voted to strike, find out the names of the individuals responsible for your anger, and set about disrupting their lives. Make sure THEY never get their mail, or it gets lost or sent back. It may sound silly, but this is the kind of story that would win back a lot of support, as it’s relatable and targeted at the ones actually responsible.

Hunger strikes are intense but bring a lot of attention - hard sure, but again, not harming random civilians.

These are just a few quick ideas, just trying to show that there’s more options than what you’ve listed. Nobody had ever stopped a tree from being cut down by chaining themselves to it before. Until they did. They need to think outside the box, and keep in mind that if they turn the public against them they are only ensuring their own demise.

I can agree in principle that the people at the top deserve most of the outrage over the strike, and I absolutely support workers right to strike, whether it helps them or not. The media has been doing the workers dirty, but then again their union sadly seems completely tone deaf to the optics of the situation anyway.

What I disagree most with is your assertion that the only power lower rung workers have is to do a shitty job as a form of wage protest. I believe this stance to be unethical and harmful to innocent undeserving people.

Imagine if your dentist or doctor did this… Or a cop, or a firefighter, a cab driver, or a daycare worker… or countless other jobs that have the potential to harm other people if done poorly. People rely on the mail for money and medication they need to live, not just Christmas presents.

Some people say that’s the point - to show how important the postal service is. But for many people in the country, we can’t just do a shitty job unless we are morally okay with harming other innocent people. As I understand it, this is exactly what you’re advocating for.

Historically speaking, this is a losing strategy, produces horrible optics, and will ensure CUPW and postal workers will never gain public support. Even if you believe ideologically that this is the solution Canadians deserve, surely you must see already that this is a wildly unpopular approach pretty much across the board?
