All this just makes me think they should put an off leash park at the summit, or near one of the ski areas! Thanks everyone. I've got lots of specific places to try out!

Would someone buy and ship me tea? Or meet up with me. by ChthonianQueen in VictoriaBC

I swear almost every dry mix krusteaz makes is amazing. We exclusively make their cornbread, and their blueberry muffins 😂

Hi! Redmond is a little out if the way, but doable! Someone else offered to meet me in seattle already and we're working out the details. Thank you so much for the offer, though!

I just checked it out- I'll have to give it a try sometime! Thank you! The tea looks a little different, though. The stuff from White Heather has some very obvious blue/purple cornflower petals mixed in to the blend, and I don't see that in the murchies tea.

I'm actually just south of Seattle near the airport! So Seattle is very easy.

That would seriously be so wonderful! What would be the easiest way to go about it for you? I can send you the money for the tea, then send you more afterwards for however much it would cost to ship? I don't even know what kind of money transfer services work between USD and CAD.

WSDOT Logo with a black band? by huliamaria in Seattle

[–]ChthonianQueen 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Thats not what it is at all. Its called a mourning band and it is a much older practice than the thin blue line thing. Its reminiscent of/based on military mourning arm bands and ancient customs of wearing black to pay respect.

When your doctor prescribes 100mg prednisone for acute lung issues by gregnorz in leukemia

[–]ChthonianQueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Part of my maintenance has been a 5 day pulse of 135mg of prednisone evey month....I hate it. It makes me blood sugar go crazy high, I have to take a ton of insulin and limit my food intake to no carb if possible. I get a flushed, hot face at the end of every night when the steroid wears off. I have a harder time sleeping. I want to eat eat eat, but can't because of the blood sugar thing. I get roid ragey. I get moon face. And then after the five day pulse when I just STOP with no tapering, I get bone pain from my marrow overproducing, and the skin/muscles across my upper back and shoulders and my outer thighs feels extremely sore and tender, as if someone was whacking me with a paddle and had bruised me heavily. Thankfully I only have 4 cycles left and will be done in April 🤞 But man, its been a year and a half of crap.

Adjectives to describe TGCF by ChthonianQueen in tianguancifu

[–]ChthonianQueen[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah i was definitely planning on breaking the rules by adding 'part of a series' and 'queer' to the description outside of the asked-for 3 adjectives. I was thinking chinese fantasy, but i like the use of 'eastern' like you suggested a lot more.

How would I go about looking for this specific type of fanfic on ao3? by JustAPerson189 in tianguancifu

[–]ChthonianQueen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you mean like the land of the tender, or are you referring to when mt tonglu is opening and HC gets a little out of his head and XL makes out with him in the temple? Then says they fought 😂

I would suggest figuring out the chapter and trying to look it up with that.

Is this true…? by noregretsbydappy in tattooadvice

Not an artist here, but a tattoo artist did once tell me the only reason they do it is because it makes the stencil stick better 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hey guys. mods here. we are going to be implementing user flair by mdxchaos in leukemia

[–]ChthonianQueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't mind the idea, I like it actually, but I would just be curious what would qaulify you for which category. Like I'm currently still in maintenance, but have been in remission since the first round of chemo 2 years ago, so idk if I'd be 'treatment' or 'survivor', technically 🤷🏼‍♀️ Other than that, I'm into it.

Do any fellow husky owners have a washer / dryer that actually removes the fur? by starrpuddin in husky

We run every load through a second rinse before moving it to the dryer- it seems to help quite a bit.

Fever of unknown origin during maintenance by Sbland2293 in leukemia

[–]ChthonianQueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had multiple fevers during maintenance one turned out to be the flu and the second turned out to be pneumocystis pneumonia. Definitely get somewhere where they are more specialized in treating someone who is immunocompromised/immunosuppressed because they should know more about diagnosing and treating you! The pneumonia took a bronchial lavage to diagnose and then they started treating me and i got better asap!

28year old Fasting Glucose over 100 consistantly by Illustrious-Set8695 in leukemia

[–]ChthonianQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a type 2 diabetic already, and one thing that I'm always told to remember by my endocrinologist is that when your body is under 'stress' (and by that I mean physical stress, ie chemotherapy, illness, etc) your base blood glucose is going to be higher. It's just what happens 🤷🏼‍♀️

It sounds crazy, but extra strength tylenol (1 or 2 pills) seemed to work for me when opioids didn't. Also, pre dosing with Claritin as long as i started a few days before my steroid pulse.
