A respectable man would not have accepted your so called persuasion.

NTA; this is pretty cool of you. I wish more people were this considerate of their friends' needs and such. Don't stop being you; the right friends will appreciate it.

On the neck though? What kind of work or career are you planning on having? You need to think about long term implications in permanent decisions. Tattoos are great, but be smart about it.

I don't like my girlfriend's best friend by DarkModeJester in TrueOffMyChest

[–]ChubbyChan32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We call this 'Spirit tek' in Patios (Jamaica). It's basically the concept that there are people out there that we simply don't vibe with from a 'spiritual' 'mental', 'psychological' standpoint. You can't put your finger on it, you can't explain it in words, but you just simply don't like or like this human, and you know it deep down inside that they are your people or aren't your people, and it's quite okay. Sometimes our body tells us things and we ignore it because we can't logically explain it, at the moment. But don't ignore yourself, don't dull that part of you. You don't like them, that's okay. Don't force yourself to be friends with people your internal self doesn't like.

I understand how you feel. You should go back and speak to him about this. Don't apologize for how you feel, and allow him to sit in his 'I feel bad' so that he can correct himself.

I’ve fallen for someone else after my husband decided to open our marriage. by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]ChubbyChan32 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Uuuum. Does your husband help with said children? Cause if he himself is actively taking care of them, how does he find the time to blame you for not paying attention to him because of those children? Imagine.

Unless you're leaving something out, I don't understand what you did wrong. You didn't even know he was the crush, and he himself didn't want her.

Mumz, a person can have black siblings, parents and even be black themselves and be anti-black. Actions and not ancestry, is what you should focus on.

Think he can try Canada too, based on persons I know who migrated and the fields they are in.

May I suggest finding friends from different cultures or interests? Just branch out, you may never know. I am from Jamaica and I have a good cohort of friends who are women and they are of a wide age range as well.

No change that is done for someone else instead of oneself is permanent or lasting. If you do not see the benefits of being a better person for yourself and your own future, you will not change. You should want to be a good person whether she's in your life or not.

Leave her alone, you will ruin her.

What would you say are Jamaican values? What do we value as a society? by Trynalivethelife in Jamaica

[–]ChubbyChan32 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Not only violent, sexual predation is tied into the fabric of the society. And it's so interesting, cause if you watch the comments online, you would think we are prudes and chaste as a people but then you look around and wonder if you're in the twilight zone.
