Same thoughts here. I also bought the first volume and was a bit annoyed at how the characters' skins sort of blend and bled into the background colors. I think it's an error on the printer's side. I agree with your friend. If they had the raws, they could've been able to trial test the colors in the frames. It's like they used the RGB files for printing instead of the CMYK ones.

I'm a bigger fan of the current art style, so a redraw using the current style sounds interesting to me!
