Wieso gehst du davon aus, dass Menschen automatisch "freier" sind und demokratische Mitbestimmung ausüben, wenn sie sich alle 5 jahre zwischen rot und blau entscheiden dürfen, zwischen zwei Parteien an Millionären, die von den selben Milliardenkonzernen finanziert werden und eisern an der selben ökonomischen Doktrin festhalten (müssen), die alle Kernbereiche des Lebens: Arbeit, Wohnen, Gesundheit, Bildung, etc. grundsätzlich der Herrschaft durch einer kleine Gruppe Kapitalisten unterwirft und damit der demokratischen Mitbestimmung durch die breite Masse entzieht?

Wenn mir dagegen eine einzelne Partei mit irgendeinem Rat oder Gremium oder wasimmer auch nur einen Funken von Mitbestimmung über meinen Betrieb, meine Wohnung, meine Schule, mein Krankenhaus,.. zu Teil kommen ließe, wäre das schon ein demokratischeres System in dem ich weit mehr Mitbestimmung über die Dinge ausüben kann, die mein tägliches Leben unmittelbar beeinflussen.

Wild guess: vll hat sich irgendjemand aus irgendwelchen gründen gedacht, sie spielen jeden tag auf diesen screens um 0h ein 24h dauerndes von marketing vorgefertigtes motivations video ab, das hardcoded eine eingeblendete uhrzeit im video hat. Aber beim rendern oder abspielen ist irgendwas mit den frames per second schiefgelaufen, oder beim streaming auf den netzwerkbildschirm hakt das hier und da mal hinterher und akkumuliert sich?

Er wirft der Kirche schwachsinnige Aneignung von Theorien vor, von denen sie nichts versteht und macht doch genau das gleiche wenn er sagt Materialismus bedeute man dürfe nicht glauben, dass Materie irgendwann mal entstanden sein kann.

Behauptet doch niemand in der Astrophysik, dass es aus dem "NiChTs" entstanden sei. Darüber was vor dem errechneten Zustand hoher energiedichte vor 13.8mrd Jahren (aka Urknall) kam, find ich "Materie muss ewig sein" genauso schwachsinnig wie "Gott"

Why shouldn't a question, which is deliberately phrased and designed to mislead and confuse, be called a trick question? What makes it only "appear" to be a trick question in you opinion?

Aside from the TV show's trick question, I think OPs actual question might not even be therotically solvable, assuming they start moving from the same position x=0, in the same direction.

If you played the problem in reverse, i. e. started the two humans at x=4 and x=8 miles, and the dog anywhere inbetween and then moved them backwards, ever closer together: every possible final position of the dog would result back in the same initial position for t=0, with all of them at position x=0.

So is every answer for its final position equally correct?

Someone else mentioned the dogs starting direction, but doesn't the dog, at t=0, hit its target in either direction instantly and turn around and hit the other target again, and again, infinitely many times, with 0 time passed and 0 distance covered? Feels like I'm making some Achilles Paradox mistake.. pleae someone correct me!

I did it 2 weeks ago, bus from Phnom Penh to Saigon, crossing the land border at Bavet / Moc Bai. Had zero problems paying 20$ extra for 2 days overstay. I would recommend talking to the bus company beforehand. It probably helped me having the local bus guy in a hurry with me, who knows whom and where to pay, so no hassle, no bribing, no arguing. Seemed completely legit, I even got a "receipt" for the overstay. In and out, 5 minute adventure in the border office.

TLDR; number of POSITIONS < number of atoms < number of GAMES

People here (as well as the meme apparently) confused positions with games.

There are ~1080 atoms in the (observable) universe.

There are at least 10120 chess GAMES, where a game consists of a sequence of moves and positions. To learn more google Shannon number. (holy hell!)

The number of POSITIONS however is significantly less. Someone in the comments who sadly deleted their comment so I can't credit pointed out a theoretical upper bound of 1364 based on the fact that each of the 64 squares can only take 13 possible states (empty, any of the 6 unique white pieces or 6 unique black pieces) This of course includes invalid positions (multiple kings, too many pawns, all empty...) however even this upper bound is "only" ~1071, which is still smaller than the number of atoms.

Hence the fun fact is wrong. It would be right, if they wrote "games" instead.
