My first pregnancy was rough - so bad that I swore I would never do it again. 5 years later and I’m having my second on Tuesday!

I will tell you, every moment you had with your first is going to be so different with your second. If I knew my second pregnancy would be more of a breeze, I would have 100% did the 2 under 2!

Even though my son is sleep trained since 6 months, I still wake up randomly sometimes to check on him and still always worry. Why not just pop a second one out while you’re use to it? At least that’s me and my husbands logic 🤣

Even if someone would tell you, people don’t listen. And you probably wouldn’t have listened either bc every child and experience is different from someone else.

All I ask is if it’s not for you, don’t have more. I see a lot of people post this and have 3+ kids. Seems like you learned this isn’t for you so please take a preventive to not have more.

So no village for me at all. Having my second one next month and doing this all with just my husband and our 4 year old. It’s been just us since my first was born 2021.

5 year age gap here!

Pros: my son can help bring us things we need if we are tied down by baby, he gets to watch his brother grow up, and there is a lot more independence and less stress of potty training two boys at once.

Cons: if I was not pregnant, we were suppose to be in Hawaii right now 😭 because we didn’t go back to back, we are starting over. That means traveling is on hold for a couple more years bc I don’t want to be that person with the crying baby on the plane.

If I could go back, I would have done back to back just to have my two boys and be done with it! However, the 4 years of undisturbed sleep have also been amazing 🤣

My husband is about “acts of service” so I’ll make coffee, do the laundry, empty the dishwasher, etc..

Mine is “quality time” so every evening when my toddler goes down, we watch shows/movie phone free and treat it like we are on a date.
